After delay, Clinton IT aide to testify in email case
The Hill ^ | 6/20/16 | Julian Hattem

The man believed to have set up and maintained former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server will be deposed this week after a more than two-week delay.

IT expert Bryan Pagliano was originally scheduled to testify on June 6 as part of a court case relating to email messages Clinton sent, but the event was postponed when his lawyers informed a federal court he would be using his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination...

Even though Pagliano is planning not to answer questions, the session could still be incriminating for Clinton.

In civil cases such as the open records one launched by Judicial Watch, judges are allowed to draw inferences from someone’s decision not to answer questions. And Pagliano’s refusal to detail the system used to set up Clinton’s email server will leave the machine shrouded in mystery, dragging out an issue that has dogged her presidential campaign for more than a year.

If he has been given immunity can he still evoke the 5th?

Yes, but the rules are different in a civil matter.

You would think he wouldn’t be able to.

Obviously, he’ must be a deadhead from the 60’s. What else could it possibly mean?

“IT Expert”

It doesn’t take an “expert” to set up an email server.
Let alone an email server that appears to have been hacked by just about everyone.

He needed time to pass the bar so he could refuse to testify under attorney- client privilege.

Regardless how the MediaPAC trashes the Trump campaign, the FBI is closing in on the Beast.

It took Team Hillary two weeks to reach every member of his family and give them the goods. “If he talks.... we know where you all live”

yeah, he’ll spill the beans.

Here’s a good article on how you may be able to invoke the 5th in a civil case:

Well when you are too stupid to open, send, and close email I guess someone who can set up an email server is an expert.

I've looked him up a number of times in the past, and don't remember it doing that, although it might not have just caught my attention until now. It's sort of an expected thing with the Clintons.

I was just reading today about the selling of disease-infected blood from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (I'd only heard of it in recent years, but there are so many issues of corruptions that I hadn't gotten around to looking into it more)

One of the articles laying out what happened and the corrupt connections to Bill Clinton during his time as governor was from CounterPunch. So even the Clinton corruption - to the point of their involvement in selling tainted blood for prophet - is widely known about and accepted on the left. How is Hillary able to run for President?

Just saw this ad, too, from her campaign, which appeared with a Newsweek story. Now WHO exactly is running for President here? Isn't he prohibited from a third term?

He’s taking the Fifth and reportedly the law firm representing him is a big Clinton donor.

“he event was postponed when his lawyers informed a federal court he would be using his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination...”

He has an immunity deal, so he shouldn’t be able to invoke the Fifth Amendment. If he pulled that before a judge, he’d be jailed for contempt faster than you could blink. Will Congress have the nuts to do the same? I think not.

It may not take a genius to set up an email server but there had to be some ‘smarts’ involved to make sure the email for Hillary, Huma, and whomever was forwarded to that server away from the rest of the statedepartment. Someone somwhere had to have a list of which accounts to forward to this server and a work order to get it done.

In a civil case, the one who asks a question can state what the answer is.

If the one who is supposed to answer refuses to give the answer, the answer proposed by the questioner, is deemed to be correct.

f Anything posed by the questioner is deemed to be true.

Not likely..........
