“What the Model and year of your Mazda?
My Mechanic and his Family and 3 of his employees drive Mazdas.
He is not a dealer. He suggest a Mazda to replace my wife’s Durango.”

My wife bought me a 2015 CX-5 for Christmas 18 months ago. It is the absolute Bee’s knees.

Probably. A friend refused to buy one with that feature (he used to be a mechanic) and the dealer was literally slack-jawed mystified why. Literally could not understand why he classified electronic PB’s as “junk” and any car with them as unsafe.

They were going to do a software update?
Why not make it straight forward to shift instead of having any software needed at all? Kinda like the ignition key vs push button. How many cars do you see stranded on the side of the road that have no engine trouble but software trouble?

Boy, you know I did that, inadvertently, but due to my preternatural catlike reflexes I got away with it. I was out observing, parked along a gravel road, and when I was finished I packed up and set out ... but DOH! I left my Norton’s Star Atlas on the hood ! It slid off and was passing under the car. I stopped and got out to fetch it, hoping that it hadn’t gone under the wheel. But just as I got out, I noticed that my 2011 Hyundai Tucson, which I love to drive, was still rolling! I had left it in drive! Hey, no prob, I just hopped back in, hit the brake, and put it in park. I found that my Norton’s was about ten feet behind the car and had not been run over. It was only when I got back in the car to leave ( finally ) that I started to get the sweats. Oh well, just don’t tell anybody. You’re the first to know.

Is it me or are we seeing more car recalls than normal. My nearly 10 yr old Corolla has had several in the past couple of years and our Equinox is in for like the third time and it’s just barely 4 yrs old. They all take about 2 hrs to fix no matter how small the fix is.

Took it in last week, there computer is down, took it in again last Mon and the computer program would only half way down load to a USB 2 hr download. Took it back yesterday...DITTO REPEAT. Dealer still has the Equinox it’s just a glitch in the Radio computer Sat. programing. This dealership is not very competent from the looks of it or needs a computer up grade themselves. Told hubby to give them his daughter’s IT business card, she can fix their computer or tell them if they need a new one. Maybe they need a new Sat dish for their computer system?
