One witness reported that the black assault rifle was apparently taking a sunbath on the lawn in a park when it unexpectedly lept up, aimed itself at the victim and began spitting bullets at a rate he estimated to be around 6 million rounds per second!

Is the dead party a thug with a criminal history? Could the shooting have been defensive in nature?
I thought there was a .223 pistol out there (not a trimmed down AR15)...searched and found this Heizer PAR1. Doesn’t look like much fun to shoot.

Assault weapon refers to a rifle with a large magazine. I wonder how they could tell the magazine size from the casings.

Again demonstrating either ignorance or mendacity when it comes to what defines an assault rifle. But no matter; it’s the cause that counts, and this unfortunate kid must do his part by being exploited to the max.
Exactly. That’s why I threw up the photo of a .223 single shot pistol.
I guess the casings could’ve been 7.62x39, .308, or 50 caliber (yikes!).
