I’m from the mountains of East Tennessee...We don’t have earthquakes, tornadoes (much), or hurricanes... We do have some flash floods but not often...The green mountains and trout streams are home to me...:o))
I exchange emails daily with a freeper from TN - can’t think of the small towns nearby but more in the eastern part than further in. I would describe it as UP from Chattanooga. Up is my best sense of direction - HA! They are out in the country anyway on lots of land - soybeans/corn etc.
Experienced quite a few earthquakes in 50+ years in CA but nowhere near the center of them. They wake you up in the night but you’re not really sure if it was real or a dream so you go back to sleep....The shower doors would rattle or if downstairs, ceiling fixtures would sway...You definitely know they are happening somewhere..
Thus it has been since time began.
5000 years ago they would have been eaten by leopards or stomped by mammoths.
When I didn’t feel anything that time, I just figured the people there were more attuned to something like that than me...
Perfect!
