Ryan: House Republicans should vote 'conscience' on Trump
CNN ^ | June 17, 2016 | Eugene Scott

Washington (CNN)Speaker Paul Ryan said House Republicans should not betray their conscience when it comes to backing their party's presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump.

"The last thing I would do is tell anybody to do something that's contrary to their conscience. Of course I wouldn't do that," he told NBC News' Chuck Todd in an upcoming episode of "Meet the Press" airing Sunday.

"Look, believe me, Chuck. I get that this is a very strange situation. He's a very unique nominee," Ryan added. "But I feel as a responsibility institutionally as the Speaker of the House that I should not be leading some chasm in the middle of our party. Because you know what I know that'll do? That'll definitely knock us out of the White House."

"I will not be surprised if Trump is assassinated. While not condoning him “Ole Huey Long” in 1935 was assassinated by a liberal right in the Louisiana State House. He was a threat to the party “elites” of those days."

I have the same fear. Trump is running against not only the Rats and the Communists, but the GOPe as well. They will do everything to preserve the Uniparty and if it looks like Trump will win anyway, I wouldn't trust the thoroughly politicized Federal government to protect Trump. All they need to do is to have a slight security lapse and then everything will go back to the the way they want it to be.

The primary isn’t until August 9th. How could he have won?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Wonder how much Ryan is getting from the Kingdom.

I may vote my conscience down ticket.

I am so disgusted now that I may break my 1991 vow to never again vote for a Democrat by going ‘D’ down the line after voting for Trump.

Right. And part of their scenario is designed to make sure that an insurgency like this year’s never happens again.

I knew when the Curiel thing came up there would be a flurry of polls show up having Clinton ahead and Johnson gaining. The media was relentetless and so were the RINOs. Notice post Orlando there are not many as Trump has gained the momenentem. The Press—Enemy of the state.

It’s sad when it has come to that, isn’t it?

Dr. Carl Weiss and his family were “conservatives”; there is a question whether Dr. Weiss fired the fatal shot. Even Russell Long in his later years seemed unsure.

You can skip a down-ballot candidate without voting “D”. Don’t vote “L” as it encourages wasted votes that help Democrats.

I searched and searched and searched online and I couldn’t find anything other than a few stories about how Ryan leads his opponent by 70 points.

I figured it was already done.

Sorry - guess I’m in error. :(

I wouldn’t give the Democrats a vote. They hate what we stand for. I’d look at people down ticket individually. For example, my Congressman has endorsed Trump. He’s not out there campaigning for him, but he’s not saying anything disparaging either. He’s also a solid conservative vote.

Well, polls that I have heard about aren’t too favorable to Nehlen, but I think those were taken before Paul Ryan has gone around making a fool of himself.

I hope Wisconsin voters vote their conscience and vote for Nehlen sending your bought and paid ass to the cleaners.

To think I was so excited when Romney picked him for VP, and then he proceeded to get beaten in a debate with Joe Biden!
