Britain Asks if Tone of ‘Brexit’ Campaign Made Violence Inevitable
New York Times ^ | June 17, 2016 | Steven Erlanger

LONDON — As the shock of the brutal murder of a young member of Parliament began to subside on Friday, there was a growing sense in Britain that something ominous had been unleashed in the country.

The increasingly ugly anti-immigrant tone to the campaign over next week’s referendum on Britain’s membership in the European Union, coupled with the violence of English fans at the European soccer championships and now the killing of a lawmaker on the streets of a small town, has left many here feeling that the boundaries of acceptable behavior are breaking down....

Those who have a violent reaction, are responsible for their actions , as long as they are considered, “normal humans”. If one is considered less than normal, all sorts of excuses come into play. It is really quite racist when you think about it.

>Any of us could have written this ten seconds after the news broke. You have to admire the Left. They are relentless, they are goal-oriented, they never, ever fight with each other (unlike, let's say, Paul Ryan), and they never give up. The Eye of Sauron never sleeps.

It appears to have backfired in recent polls. It's stinks of a false flag attack and the public picked that up. However, it makes it easier for the UK to fake the results and claim the killing shifted public opinion.

The NYT - despicable as always. The expression of any idea they disagree with is always treated as an actual or potential cause of violence. This is bullying and blackmail, i.e., “shut up, or we’ll accuse you of fomenting violence.”

"If rhetoric was the cause, why was there only one murder?"

Same with opposition to gay marriage. If opposition to homosexuality is automatically violent, why do only one out of 80 million Christians ever kill a gay person?

It looks like whacking the socialist MP is working as planned for the pro-Euro team.

That wasn't a good example, Paul Ryan doesn't fight with the Left.

The Eye of Sauron never sleeps.

Excellant way to sum up the left and how they are so relentless in implementing their agenda.

They have no problem with shutting down speech that disagrees. That proves the brilliance of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. No one can tell me that our Founders didn’t know which way the wind blew.

Would they be willing to also ask whether the slaughter of Drummer Lee Rigby was occasioned by the UK’s insane immigration and gun control policies?

Ms. Cox became a victim by interfering in a public, domestic squabble.

I think you must have missed more recent developments in the story. There's now no doubt she was deliberately targeted by Mair.
