They Don't Want Your AR-15: They Want Everything
Townhall.com ^ | June 18, 2016 | Alan Korwin

Posted on 06/18/2016 4:29:39 AM PDT by Kaslin

The “news” media is ranting the democrats familiar song, after a muslim jihadi committed atrocities in a gay nightclub: “We must ban the AR-15, a weapon of war, it has no place in the public’s hands. Why does anyone need an AR-15 to murder Bambi?”

It doesn’t matter to the “fair and balanced“ media that the mass murderer (not “gunman,” a deliberate derogatory sexist slur against men—and guns) didn’t use or even have an AR-15.

It doesn’t matter that banning the AR-15 would have zero effect on what was done, or what the next jihad assault will do. All that matters is that murders create political capital and useful propaganda that influence useful idiots to press Congress to act against the Constitution. And they do. For shame.

What democrats and anti-rights bigots want is to ban all effective weapons in American hands. Without realizing it (maybe) they pursue marxist goals of making the public subservient to the government boot. It is the exact opposite of why the Second Amendment is in the Constitution in the first place: It’s there to balance federal power.

Ever since the so-called Gun Control Act of 1968, when officials could get all the machine guns they wanted, but you and I could only get single-shot rifles like the AR-15, we have been subarmed. The balance of power flipped decisively to government.

That’s why you see the atrocious federal leviathan that concerns everyone. Even the ACLU is worried about how much federal power has grown. Mao was right. Power comes from the barrel of a gun. All I have is the barrel of a pen. Ain’t much of a match.

Democrats and their sycophantic media allies have been down this road before. They’re yelling about the AR-15, but when the bills come out—mark my words—the AR will not be the only gun in the bill. Every black gun known will be included. They hate black guns. They barely understand guns at all, but if they’re big and black, they hate ‘em. Listen, it’s not good to hate.

Ours only fire one shot at a time, and are all we have left. Antis think they’re machine guns, but they took those from us back in 1968. They know nothing, but that doesn’t matter to hoplophobes—people with morbid gun fear who desperately need but never seek treatment.

In their last bill, Diane Feinstein’s, they listed guns in a 90-page catalog, but that was a trick to throw you off. You think this bill will go backwards and list fewer? That bill, in fine print, broadly included guns with anything that could serve as a grip. I know, it sounds impossible, but I read these things. With a little subtle maneuvering, that’s what they did, the list was a smokescreen, didn’t matter, since any gun has grips, so you can pick it up and hold it. That’s how these people operate. So-called reporters promoted the talking points (“Save the children!”) not the actual proposal (“Take all the guns!”). The so-called background program was a gun-registration scheme, again misreported.

Then bigots yell at the NRA for blocking “reasonable common sense bills.” They are nothing of the sort. And of course, banning the AR-15—the finest rifle made in America, the choice of police who are otherwise outgunned against the exact same criminals people face—would have no effect against jihadis. It would just disarm us. The jihadis can’t bear anything, legally. Hillary, Obama, all their allies, they know this. They’re knowingly lying to your face, to disarm you.

And this no-fly lie? The Constitution cannot (legitimately) be suspended by putting anyone’s name on a list. If you’re so bad you can’t fly to Cincinnati, why are you still out walking around? Why can you take a train or bus there? You should be charged with something before your rights can be summarily removed. You should have due process. Those are blazing red lines no serving politician should ever cross. Any politician who votes to remove your rights by simply writing down your name is by definition a tyrant who must be removed from office. Who writes down your name? A federal police force acting in secret. Secret police list. In America?

If Americans are subarmed, limited to bolt-action wood guns, or some other total infringement that leaves America in a completely unbalanced state, the shining light of freedom will have been extinguished. The jihadis will have won. With asymmetrical warfare underway, we should be teaching Americans how to shoot, and arming them better, not passing laws to confiscate their guns.

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, they know this road. They are teaching people about how to shoot. Look:

“To provide for organizing, arming, and discipling, the Militia ...”

I’m sorry but the National Guard is part of the Army, in my way of thinking. Each Governor may “control” their National Guard but Washington is (too) quick to draft them into Federal service. The rest of us are the “unorganized Militia” who still deserve at least some organization and training.

If you need proof, just announce that this year’s in-state deer season will instead be held along the U.S.-Mexican border and see how much attention the “unorganized Militia” would attract.

And the National Air Guard is part of the Air Force.

Isn't the Coast Guard part of the Navy?

We have been through this when BJ was in office. Many of us went as far as buying PVC pipe before we pretty much all realized that “when it comes time to bury it is time to USE”. Spend your PVC allowance on practice ammo. Better investment.

Burying weapons seems to me, the opposite of what one should do.

The moment burying weapons is the sensible option, the more sensible option is employing them.

Example: I have heard that after WWII, many Soviet troops ‘lost’ thier weapons, including MGs.

They would bury them in the garden. The old Russian joke is, “Why does Grandpa pour oil in the garden?” “To keep the rust off his guns.”

Yet, buried, what fight did Grandpa have against the depravations of Communism?

Liberals want it all from your heirloom
Depression era squirrel shooter Winchester Model 60 .22 single shot to the “ole” double barrel that crazy Joe told Jill to fire off the balcony.
Liberals’ goals are achieved incrementally.
They begin win small victories and metasticize to the overwhelming.
As Hillary said, “ We are going to take a
‘Few’ things from you for the common good.” That’s how it starts. But, not how it ends.

If they come for your guns its time to FIRE THEM, not bury them.

They are two classes of people that are disarmed: Prisoners and slaves. I do not, at this moment in time, fit either category. If I do not die a death from natural causes before disarmament day comes, they can and will gladly kill and disarm me. But I will not be disarmed while alive. It will probably be just as well because I am too old and feeble to go to one of Hillary's camps.

As soon as they ban all semi autos, next will be the attempt to ban “ deadly high power sniper rifles”.
Your bolt action scoped hunting rifle .

I heard somewhere that when it’s time to bury your guns, it’s time to use them. Kinda makes sense.

It doesn’t take a 50 to bring down a chopper.

A bow and arrow with several hundred yards of fine kevlar and a small weight works fine. How long will a helicopter fly with locked controls?
