Actually, the area where the first messages affect aren’t near the service cart bin. They’re inside the cockpit ‘wall’ and there’s significant separation. There would also have been galley smoke messages and perhaps cabin smoke messages.

Like I said, the ACARS messages don’t eliminate terrorism, just the common methods. An incendiary (not a bomb) planted in the avionics bay would account for it - but so would defective avionics batteries.

The bathroom (lavatory) is only partly over the avionics bay - any device planted there would have set those sensors off first. Instead, the sensors that saw a problem first were on the opposite side of the plane and further forward.

To use a car analogy, what you are proposing is that a rag in the driver’s side gas tank filler neck that’s been ignited had as its first sign the passenger rearview mirror bursting into flames. Doesn’t really work.

Yup, that’s what it’s looking like - underfloor fire, though in this case not in the luggage hold but the avionics bay. Whether it was bad batteries (a problem that a number of aircraft have had lately) or an incendiary device or some other electrical fault remains to be seen.

The wiring that leads to those cockpit window sensors is smack dab behind where they store the service carts.

The error messages indicates that the sensors detected heat, not that the sensors went offline or were disconnected by the wiring melting. Also, no cabin or galley smoke detected.

There were no videos or stills. I am not sure that it is true.

How many of those sensors have you worked with, and do you know how they are wired. I have installed hundreds, and what I described is how they would respond to a wiring failure. They are analog, not digital in their operation.

If we must interject government propaganda, it would seem the Egyptian government would want to find anything possible to blame the brotherhood.

Propaganda? Looks like the Egyptian government has Morsi & most of the Egyptian based MB leadership in jail. It is clear they will stay there. As far as blame for the downing of the plane goes, I have not seen a statement from the Egyptian government that gave a cause.

Now as far as propaganda is concerned in the US, our “free media” has that to an art form in support of the lying crooks who inhabit DC.
