White House Watch: Clinton 44%, Trump 39%
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 6-16-16 | Rasmussen Reports

With Donald Trump under increasing criticism from leaders in his own party, Hillary Clinton has moved to a five-point lead in Rasmussen Reports’ latest weekly White House Watch survey.

A new national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Clinton with 44% support to Trump’s 39%. Fourteen percent (14%) still prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Clinton moved to a 42% to 38% lead last week after wrapping up her party’s nomination by winning the California Democratic primary. The two had been in a virtual tie prior to that. Trump’s support has remained frozen around the 40% mark in surveys since late April.

Among voters who consider the mass murders in Orlando, Florida this past weekend primarily a terrorist attack, Trump leads Clinton 64% to 16%. Clinton posts an 83% to four percent (4%) lead among those who see the killings as chiefly a gun control issue.

no polls for weeks and now all of a sudden...I’m smelling cooked books. I know many dems and none of them are for Hillary...they were all Sanders. Hillary isn’t going to bring out the vote. Trump has this sewed up.

All I know is my hard core union brothers in law who voted rat in the last two elections are voting FOR Trump this time. At least they say they are.

I want to believe we are going to be fed a constant line of misinformation from here out.

I think its too early to pay much attention to polls. HRC is a known quantity, and I expect her support to be static. Trump has to ‘introduce’ himself to the people who don’t pay much attention - at the conventions and debates.

Since Trump didn't just step in it, he jumped into it at speed with both feet, this is better than I expected.

Rasmussen's "have a beer with" poll put it at 45% Trump, 37% Clinton. (In previous elections Obama and Bush 43 won the "have a beer with" polling.)

Voters would have a beer with Trump but vote for Hillary? Come on! I'm as unhappy with Trump as the next bitter clinger, but I'd still crawl to the polls over hot coals to vote for him against Hillary.

“A poll with 14 percent Other is absurd”

It’s early. Many people are undecided and the race is wide open. As long as Hillary is bellow 50% Trump has the edge.

Trump cannot count on Republican party to win the election. It might be a good idea to run again both parties, lump them together and expose how phoney they all are. Foreign about endorsements from GOP elites, declare war against them instead.

I predicted Hilary would get back ahead of Trump after he caught her a couple weeks ago, and am not at all surprised.

Just as I did then, I still suspect now Hilary will be in front until about the first debate. Trump caught up and passed her by a little for a short time because he was the presumptive nominee before she was.

As the general election gets fully underway after conventions, Trump will be painted more and more as a monster by the left and MSM...predictably...and he will shatter that portrayal with those that only start paying attention starting with the first debate....where there will almost certainly be a huge audience for. At that point the voters who don't pay attention will see that Hilary is far short of the hype and Trump is far better than the ogre he was portrayed as, and the issues he campaigns on, which are more popular with voters will win.

Trump will crush her.

I don’t know about the others but Rasmussen puts out these White House Watch surveys once a week along with a daily tracking poll.

Scott Rasmussen does NOT OWN Rasmussen polling firm anymore

He sold it in 2013 !

http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2013/08/rasmussen_leaves_nj_polling_firm_he_founded.html

This polling firm is NOW owned by a Open Borders WSJ firm now.

Buyers beware .

Anyone who thinks they would enjoy living in Afganistan, Iraq, or Syria, then a vote for Hillary would be just the thing for them.

“44% of the people they polled are either stupid or evil.”

I’m betting on stupid. You have to be aware to be evil.

So the GOPE is helping Hillary and the democrats.

Yup. That's the takeaway I got from the article.

Bastards.

If Trump loses because of this, I'm not sure I can vote Republican ever again. Can you or anyone envision a Republican who isn't Trump whom we could support? Meaning non-Cheap Labor Express, Muslim-importing, Gun-grabbing, reach-across-the-aisle assholes?

I agree.
It's way .
That 14 % gives this Private equity firm that ability to twist the sample any fashion.

Watching all the chicken little is bizarre .

But seeing these post about how accurate a Nov 2 2012 poll was while ignoring the months of pitiful push polls leading up to that date is old .
Every polling firm plays that game and in particular that left wing media operations hired push poll firms.

People are sheep and suckers for our dem party run media push polls .
