Ive heard stories of British tank crews stopping during the normandy campaign midday to brew up a cuppa. Right in the middle of combat! You do not get between a Brit and their tea. in north africa they would take cover behind their disabled tank and brew up while the battle raged. read this in BRAZEN CHARIOTS by Crisp.

I’m guessing it’s Germany that makes these rules

The Brits drink tea all day. As another poster indicated, they get riled up if you mess with their tea or tea rituals.

Maybe I’m a little behind the times. A gas flame under a teapot seems to work fine.

Limits on the power draw of vacuum cleaners as well.
Yup. They suck because they don't suck.

Maybe Im a little behind the times. A gas flame under a teapot seems to work fine. Gas flames work fine but do take a bit longer to heat the water. The biggest problem is that the government has a say in the design of the pots & other devices and regulates them in such a way to make them less efficient. Of course this is typical of the way bureaucracy works.

Guess the Brits will just have to go back to burning peat.

I don’t care for Earl Gray - much too flowery. Yorkshire, please.

Here in Texas this time of year we can boil water by placing it outside for a few seconds.

But Europe lets Muslims in the by the droves!?! They are truly insane.

Guess the Brits will just have to go back to burning peat. They will as soon as the muzzies take over total control and drag them back to the 7th century.

Here in Texas this time of year we can boil water by placing it outside for a few seconds. That's for sure. When I moved there I put my houseplants off the truck into the patio for a few minutes. Direct sunlight killed them all deader than a doornail, burnt to a crisp. I swear it was ten minutes. Couldn't believe it when I went back for them. It was like they got hit by a flamethrower.

Maybe Britain should get with it and, instead of using 320 volt electrical systems, they should go with our 120 volt system. They would use less electricity and that would help with the Global Warming problem. /sarc.
. . . I’m just trying to think like those EU spoiled brat nitwits.

My first and best electric tea kettle and toaster were Krups, both lasted for many many years. I have had numerous replacements since and have yet to find brands as dependable as my old Krups. Ironic since Krups is German.

All electrical appliances used in public or industrial settings have to be insulation tested annually. Hence the little stickers you may have seen. :)

The latest polling is favorable, a 3-7 point lead for “leave”.
It would be a shame if this apparent false flag murder of a leftist MP causes the bad guys to win.
