The N.R.A.’s Complicity in Terrorism.
The NY Times ^ | 6/16/16 | THE EDITORIAL BOARD

“America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms,” one spokesman for Al Qaeda said in a 2011 recruitment video. “So what are you waiting for?”

Few places on earth make it easier than the United States for a terrorist to buy assault weapons to mow down scores of people in a matter of minutes. The horrific massacre in Orlando last weekend is only the latest example. And all this is made vastly easier by a gun lobby that has blocked sensible safety measures at every turn, and by members of Congress who seem to pledge greater allegiance to the firearms industry than to their own constituencies. There is a word for their role in this form of terrorism: complicity.

At this point, the only sensible legislation would:

Has it occurred to the NYTimes that perhaps we ought to stop importing terrorists into this country?

Surrendering our guns is the holy grail of the Left. If the Left succeeds at obtaining their goal of gun confiscation, and they will confiscate, then I predict they will very shortly thereafter oppress with military style tyranny. I understand it may be hard for some to see that vision at the moment, but surrender your right to bear arms and tyranny will certainly - not maybe - certainly follow.

Just looking at the glideslope of the USA over the past 8 years proves that the final act allowing the dam to break is the removal of the right to keep and bear arms. Once that is removed and it becomes illegal to own a firearm there is absolutely nothing on earth to stop the left using the militarized police to enforce their view of civil order.

Do you hear the sound of those hoof beats of oppression growing louder and louder?

Repeal the National Firearms Act (1934)

Repeal the Gun Control Act (1968)

Repeal the Hughes Amendment (1986)

ISIS has said that they are going to send terror cells to the West using our refugee programs.

But the New York Times STILL FAVOR open borders.

And you accuse others of aiding terrorists?

At least most states have background checks when you go to buy a gun. There are no checks if you’re hopping our border.

Hell, I’d just be happy with just 18 USC 922 (o) being repealed.

I believe that’s the Hughes Amendment. And repealing it would be a first step toward reasonable, common-sense gun legislation.

Fact: The killer was not a member of the NRA. He was a member of the Muslim religion. He was a registered Democrat. He was a supporter and voter for Obama. He was vetted by the FBI and passed because of Hillary's State Department's interference with logical intelligence. Now, where is the NRA at fault?

I've made a few changes tho the NY Slimes article. See if you can tell the difference...

Few places on earth make it easier than the United States for a terrorist to buy pressure cookers to mow down scores of people in a matter of minutes. The horrific massacre in Boston last year is only the latest example. And all this is made vastly easier by a pressure cooker lobby that has blocked sensible safety measures at every turn, and by members of Congress who seem to pledge greater allegiance to the cookware industry than to their own constituencies. There is a word for their role in this form of terrorism: complicity.

Go to the inner cities and get all the illegal firearms you want, if you have the cash for them. Those places are a fountain of stolen hardware and ammo.

Because taking away weapons right when terrorists are attacking us is SO EFFING SENSIBLE.

I wouldn’t be too quick to say that. I don’t think they would mind being controlled by the state.

Future jihadi attacks are going to be using the AR platform rifle. This strategy will result in restrictions of said rifles for use and purchase by US citizens. The result: targets for the jihadis will get progressively softer and easier. The continued use of guns instead of bombs will result in more and more restrictions for law abiding citizens. Once the guns are gone, it’s bombs away and more jihadi gunmen.

I was the same way. Kept varmint rifles and shotguns in trunk and always went hunting after school. In college, I kept everything in my dorm room. While in high school I routinely bought dynamite and fuse to blow stumps on our ranch. No one ever said anything about it. Look how far we’ve fallen since the ‘60’s.

The muzzie-jihadi filth didn’t think that up all by themselves. The lib-commies worked closely with them to ‘arrange the tactical steps’ in getting Americans disarmed. There are hundreds, if not thousands of muzzie-jihadis already in-place in the gov’t, in the right positions, to make sure it happens. 0bummer’s been stocking the pond for 7 years.
