Ohio Governor John Kasich insists he is not interested in being Donald Trump's running mate, or in launching a potential third-party bid for the White House but that doesn't mean that he hasn't been strongly urged to consider it.

“Ohio Governor John Kasich insists he is not interested in being Donald Trump’s running mate,”
Good, we’re not interested in having you at the convention.
What’s the difference between Joe Scarborough and Barack Obama?
I don’t know, either.
Kasich is part of the problem.
The fact the media gives him favorable attention tells us all we need to know about whose side he’s on.
He’s been a good governor though. My taxes have actually gone down. That never happens.
I don't think obama has had any attractive female interns who turned up dead at his office. Not that I've heard of anyway.
But just for a second imagine the hubris and conceit not to consider the idea of running for the second highest job in the US. Unbelievable that ‘our betters’ have better things to do than be Veep. Shows how wealthy and insulated they are.
In the face of Trump’s unprecedented number of votes in the primary, what makes Kasich think he has enough influence to be a ‘spoiler’? What narcissism and arrogance.
“Shows how wealthy and insulated they are.”
That’s sums up all of America’s problems succinctly.
And Kasich personifies it.
Lori Klausutis. I’d forgotten about that.
Without an iota of shame, Kasich is acknowledging his word is worthless. He only signed the pledge because HE wanted to be the nominee. He knew what Trump was all about so he was a liar and a piece of garbage the moment he finished signing his name on that pledge.
As a general rule, I would have to agree with Newt, who when asked about being VP, said something to the effect that it is difficult to say no when one's country calls.
On the other hand, it was Franklin who said that the VP should be referred to as "your superfluous Excellency," and putting someone like Newt in that position would be a waste of his talents, though it would not be a waste of Kasich's talents (read into that what you will).
On the third hand, if Trump were to push for a genuine role for VP--as I used to suggest, back when "Trump/Cruz" was a reasonably possibility, that Trump push for Cruz actually exercising the VP's role as President of the Senate, to give greater weight to getting Trump's agendas passed--then a VP with something worth doing would be a worthy role for anyone worthy of the role.
Then shut up and stay in Columbus.
Your ‘run’ has done more to tarnish your reputation and any esteem Ohioans held you in that it’s just pathetic.
Imagine, when asked a question about homosexuals you stated that your best friend was a homosexual and that you had even attended his wedding. If it was true you gave entirely too much information.
This was just a beginning of your trek down stupid lane.
if he ran third party he could drain enough votes from trump to swing it to Hillary....
OHIO, that is...
Is Joe still unhinged about Trump?
He was ready for a strait jacket last week.
Of course, Kasich would be an appalling choice for Veep.
Scarborough is so obnoxious! How horrible he must have been to work with in Congress.
My taxes have gone down, too. The only problem is that all the money they went down by was taken out of local budgets, while the state usurps ever more power and control over our lives.
Difference between Joe and Obama? One wears glasses and one doesn’t.
