I started with him when he went ‘local national’ think he was still out of Sacramento (maybe NY??) but I do remember WMAL WashDC not running his 12-1 hour for a local news show. Then they started running the show an hour later(or put the first hour last) and eventually went full time...
I thought he had ‘changed’ after his marriage to ‘Marta’ but he really started losing me after the Oxy fiasco....Maybe not so much because HE was addicted, just the way he ‘treated Steve Howe & Darryl Strawberry’ over their drug usage....which I may have felt they deserved BUT Rush was just being a Hypocrite.

to be fair... Belgium is about 11,000 square miles.
Greater Los Angeles with its suburbs in the Inland Empire are bout 10,500 square miles....
and you can traverse both sections almost by stepping from rooftop to rooftop from houses to businesses to local shops... without ever touching the ground.
Belgium is not much larger than several of the worlds major metropolitan cities... inclusive of their suburbs. I can see why a New York City boy (brooklyn, queens, the bronx and other areas altogether) might have a tendency to see the whole country as pretty much... just as one city/state.
I stopped listening to Rush years ago because I couldn’t get a good reception, and the AM Station that carried him often had College or High school sports broadcasts instead of him. Besides I stopped listening to all Radio talk shows.
I think he is ready to just retire, I think he thinks the country is GONE and he has been so smothered in his so called free speech he just doesn’t care anymore!!! My God this country has become SOOOOOO PC it is unbarable, they have infiltrated our education system SOOOOO DEEPLY I don’t know if we will EVER be able to fix it!!!!
