Mitt’s father, Governor George Romney, did the same thing to Goldwater in 1964. When he made a failed run for the nomination in 1968 and ended up something like HUD Secretary, he had said he was “brainwashed” on Vietnam War by the generals. Well of course he does. The whole issue Trump is complaining about is that this judge belongs to four explicitly latino ethnic associations including the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego, and that this affects his rulings on the Trump U case.

Trump used ‘Mexican’ as shorthand in interview and this is what has been seized upon to try to make it racism on Trump’s part instead of looking at the groups that the judge belongs to, one of which offers support to illegals.
