Trump Scores Historic 13 Million GOP Primary Vote Blowout with California Win

Trump closed out the primary election season with wins in South Dakota, New Mexico, New Jersey, Montana, and California. While Sen. Bernie Sanders remains actively campaigning for the Democratic nomination against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Trump became the GOP’s presumptive nominee shortly after winning Indiana’s May 3 primary election.

The American businessman surpassed 2012 nominee Mitt Romney’s and 2008 nominee John McCain’s primary election vote totals by late in April according to Politico calculations. Previous record holder George W. Bush received just 10.8 million votes in 2000, a number far surpassed by Trump’s over 13 million votes with the five June 7 primaries.

Trump’s total is 13,266,277 according to the RealClearPolitics vote count as of Wednesday morning. That count didn’t appear to include the most recent totals for California which they listed at 1,146,548. As of Wednesday morning, the California Secretary of State’s website reported a slightly higher 1,173,893 votes for Trump with 99.7 percent of precincts reporting.

Way to help heal the wounds on FR.

Some people just can’t help but let their bitter out.

Trump could do well not only in CA, but NY, NJ in November. I was driving through an African American precinct in Newark, NJ Tuesday, and I saw a sea of Trump signs. If that is the case, it does not look good for the CBC and NAACP groups.

According to The Green Papers, Trump has 1,537 delegates, of which 1,441 are "hard" delegates (hard delegates are those bound by GOP rules to vote for Trump). The ones not "hard" are delegates who have stated they will vote Trump, but are not bound-by-rules to actually do so at the convention.

The "hard" delegate count is what matters. It's good that Trump has a cushion of over 200 delegates, as it makes it less likely that the GOPE will try to play any games. Keep in mind that many of the "hard" delegates are GOPE who are against Trump, even though bound to him.

They still might try to play games, like having delegates just not show up (and claim a no-show is not a vote for Trump) or vote in favor of a rule at the convention which un-binds all the bound delegates.

Trump underperformed in California. Romney got over 1.5 million votes; probably reflects the judge controversy.

Or some folks stayed home knowing he wrapped it up?

The actual rule is that the candidate must get a majority of delegates actually voting. Five hundred no-shows would mean 250 fewer votes needed to win. That’s why alternates are always present.

Since delegates are bound by state rules, they can’t be unbound by convention whim. Most state parties are going to remain jealous for their prerogatives regardless of the candidates.

They didn’t stay home in New Jersey where Romney got 188k in 2012 while Trump got over 356k, almost twice as many votes; dominating.
California can be strange. Clinton dominated Sanders too. It probably reflects the Hispanic primary voters.

It’s time for all Freepers to support our nominee. Belittling those who didn’t support the nominee early in the race is pointless, and Jim Robinson has actually called for an end to do doing so, more than once.

Before picking a fight and then running for the teacher, you might want to review the teacher’s playground rules.

Read your post it was you who was picking the fight.
You who mentioned a competitor who hasn’t even congratulated or endorsed the overwhelming winner.

Get the log out of your own eye

I am posting to Jim so he can witness ALL of your posts.

And they didn’t even HAVE to vote for him. This is phenomenal!

Being the designated nominee does NOT get Trump the presidency. There is still Hitlary to beat and we all know there will be a high number of “irregularities” when it comes to counting her votes. Elections have been stolen before, as some of the most crooked people in the world, the demodummie Clintons are masters at it

The American people have spoken. Donald is our choice- like it or not.
We all know that the rats will resort to ANYTHING to keep Donald from undoing the damage Obama has done to our country.
They will use every trick in the dirty rat book= voter fraud, maybe even try to take him out.
We MUST put aside our anger, our differences, and unite behind Donald.

Donald CAN win this and make America great again. He is a brilliant business man/CEO who can get things done. He is a fearless outsider not crippled by PC. He hasn’t even started on Hillary yet.
He knows all her criminal activities and is not afraid to hit her with all of them.

We must make this the biggest Republican voter turn out in history.
Anyone who refuses to vote, votes ‘third party’ or does a ‘write in’
is casting a vote for Hillary. Fact.

We MUST all turn out and vote for the Republican candidate.
This the most important election in our lifetime.

Below is what Trump has posted on his website today.
https://www.facebook.com/DonaldTrump/?fref=nf

I am honored by your support.

Together, we accomplished what nobody thought was possible – and we’re only getting started.

Our campaign received more primary votes than any GOP campaign in history. This is not a testament to me, but a testament to all the people like you who believed real change is possible. I would like to thank the amazing volunteers across the United States- who helped us secure the nomination as well. I love you!

We have received wide spread support, winning 37 states from New Hampshire, to Alabama, to California and everywhere in between.

You have given me the honor to lead the Republican Party to victory this fall, and I won’t let you down. I will make you proud of your party, our movement and most importantly, our country. To everyone who voted for me throughout this campaign: thank you.

My message continues to resonate and I know that my vision for the country is one that will make us stronger and better than ever before. Now more than ever we must be smart, we must be vigilant, and we must be tough. Every day moving forward – we must work to bring about all of the changes necessary to put an end to the destruction caused by the current administration.

I am going to be the best jobs President God ever created! We are going to revitalize our economy, rebuild our infrastructure, repeal and replace ObamaCare, strengthen our military, defeat ISIS, end illegal immigration and put America first!

This is a movement - it’s about common sense and doing the right thing. I’m going to take care of people. I’m going to make sure this country comes first. As Americans, we have incredible potential and I am the leader this country needs to Make America Great Again.

Thank you again for your support.

Donald J. Trump

this combined with the Dems being 7 million less voters than 2008 spells defeat for Hildebeast. There will be more Berniacs that will stay at home, or riot outside the voting areas, which won’t help her either.

That’s why it has to be a landslide election! Vote fraud has practical limitations. Plus I want to see Hillary “off herself” after she looses!
