DEPEW, Okla. (KTUL) CREEK COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) -- Volunteers spent hours Monday cleaning graffiti off five churches in Depew.
Authorities say Tammy Hall, 40, vandalized the buildings Sunday night. Two churches just outside of Depew were also damaged.
"Come to find out, I guess somebody had hit every church in town," said Pastor Paul Saunders.
According to the Creek County Sheriff's Office, community members believed Hall was responsible. When deputies interviewed Hall, CCSO spokesman Sgt. Les Vaughan says they saw several small areas of red paint on Hall's porch as well as on the palm of her hand.
Additional evidence was found in Hall's vehicle and home, says Vaughan.
Hall was arrested on multiple counts of defacing or injuring a house of worship. She was booked into the Creek County Jail on $60,000 bond.
Authorities say Hall used red spray paint to mark the outer walls with various phrases and profanities.
By 8 a.m. Monday, a handful of neighbors converged on one of the churches, using paint thinner and brushes to remove the graffiti. When that church was clean they moved on to the next one.
All five churches were cleaned and repaired within three hours.
"Before any of the news folks were here it was already done, it was clean," said Bobby Howard.

It's a small town, and her misdeeds have been broadcast everywhere. Way to go, lady.
A frustrated Obama voter who may not be able to vote for Hillary this time around if they can get her a felony conviction in time . . .
she looks quite stable. LOL
Them’s crazy eyes right there. I would not want to go to sleep with her in the house.
Do women get “middle aged crazy” too?
LIB coo-coo.
“Authorities say Hall used red spray paint to mark the outer walls with various phrases and profanities.”
