The references are much too subtle and nuanced for anyone under the age of twenty-one or so to understand today.
If history is not kept alive, these two will become some sort of paragons of - something, when the centuries roll by, and that would be a pity, as that was not how the people of today saw them.
It would be like trying to reconstruct the lives of certain prominent citizens of ancient Rome. Way more myth than fact.
I think it also targets the voting-age children of people who would get this. Imagine what conversation would follow when the question is, "What is Bill Clinton talking about?".

What is it doing then? Preaching to the choir? I already know Hillary is a crook and one of the foulest creatures ever to enter into American public life. It is legitimate to hate the woman as she is so foul.
It’s going after the middle independents and possibly depressing some Hillary supporters into not voting.
