Paris Becomes Massive Camp for Illegal Migrants

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has announced plans to build a "humanitarian camp" next to one of the busiest train stations in the city, so that thousands of illegal migrants bound for Britain can "live with dignity."

Hidalgo, who has often sparred with French President François Hollande for his refusal to accept more migrants, says her plan to help illegal migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East is a "duty of humanism."

At a press conference on May 31, Hidalgo said the camp would be built in northern Paris "near the arrival points for migrants." She was referring to Gare du Nord — one of the busiest railway stations in Europe — from where high-speed Eurostar trains travel to and arrive from London.

Thousands of illegal migrants, many from Afghanistan, Eritrea and Sudan, have gathered at a nearby public park, the Jardins d'Eole, and turned the area into a massive squatter camp where conditions are squalid. The area, which is so dangerous that the government has classified it as a no-go zone (Zone de sécurité prioritaires, ZSP), has become a magnet for human traffickers has become a magnet for human traffickers who charge migrants thousands of euros for fake travel documents, for passage to London..

Hidalgo said her new camp, which will be built within six weeks, would be modelled on Grande-Synthe, a massive migrant camp near the French port city of Dunkirk.

[snip]

Hidalgo, who has threatened to file a lawsuit against the American media outlet Fox News for reporting about Muslim no-go zones in Paris, seems to have no qualms about turning parts of northern Paris into ghettos for illegal migrants.

I thought there weren't any No Go Zones in Paris?

We went in 1986. It sucked then. Everything you said plus rude and arrogant people. We spend our vacation dollars here.

Don’t forget the gypsies. The scourge of tourists in any major Euro city. I still have a few more trips to make over there to wrap up my consulting job. I stay outside the cities whenever possible.

Jean Raspail is a prophet. I wonder what he has to say about his prediction coming true.

What's nice about the Czech Republic--cheap! (not as cheap as it used to be but still cheap!) $1 for a giant beer--$5 can buy you lunch--grab some pastries and coffee $2

I went two years ago for about three weeks. I took about $350 USD out of the ATM when I got there and had about 40 Euro--it lasted me the whole time. The last day I still had about $50 I had to unload on food, t-shirts, etc. just to get rid of it.

You could feel a little of the "multicultural" effect in Prague and I saw more people shooting up in the streets than I ever needed to but once you left Prague--I felt pretty safe.

I am thinking of going back next year with the entire family.

What about Russia? There is a lot to see there. Are Moscow and St. Petersburg safe for tourists?

——Obola looks on in envy-—

Hmmmm.... what Obama actually did with the camp likely as one of several reasons, is to declare Europe and France and Paris as un safe for American travelers this summer

I was in Paris in 1994 when it was still Paris. I think I’ll just keep those memories and stay in the US.

Yep, we loved the "Polish Prices" as our tour guide called them. Ate like kings in Krakow for not a lot of money. One of the great nights ever was having dinner in the Rynek with the Hejnał playing in the background.

Interesting how that these social architects are flooding civilization with unwanted illegals and say it's for humanitarian reasons. Yet they won't discuss how destructive it is for the people who already live there.

I remember reading a UN directive that said it was impossible to pull 3rd worlders up to 1st world status, therefore they (the UN) was going to lead a movement to pull the 1st world to 3rd world status.

I see their plan is working quite well.
