I take a bus quite a bit, and yes, they aren’t like buses of old. The door is electronically opened and shut. Typically drivers get off the bus and then go around to the driver’s side on the outside to shut and lock the door, which allows passengers to wait inside the bus while the driver takes a break between routes since no one can just get on the bus without paying. No one can get off, either, while the driver is gone. Here, though, the driver managed to shut the door while leaving the bus.
