PORT ANGELES, Wash. -- A Clallam County bus driver is being called a hero, after a violent attack on board her bus that was caught on surveillance video.
A look at the video, first obtained by Q13 News, shows the terrible beatdown of an elderly passenger and the one move by the bus driver that kept the attacker from possibly hijacking the bus.
It started out like any other Saturday afternoon -- people getting on a bus in Port Angeles. But things quickly changed.
In the video, watch the man on the right. He stands and kicks an 80-year-old passenger in the face, then appears to choke her as she screams for help.
The driver stops the bus and stands, and the man then comes at her and grabs her neck. She's finally able to break away, open the doors and call for help.

The actions of the rest of the people on the bus are being questioned, as they didn't step in to help.
We don't really have a nation anymore. We have a bunch of Balkanized enclaves of losers.
What a disgrace. The other passengers did nothing to help.

All it would have taken is one passenger who carried.
Better yet, for the 80 year old female victim to carry.

I remember it well, but that was an exception, not the rule. We have become atomized will little connection to others. Modern society makes it easy to live a life free from involvement with others and no sense of community.
The passenger are great candidates for the San Jose police dept. You’re welcome.

Kitty Genovese wasn't attacked in a bus with other people within a few paces of her.
She was attacked outdoors, alone in the dark, at three o'clock in the morning. Many neighbors who heard her screams did call the police.
Her attacker returned some minutes after the initial attack and killed her in a hallway, out of sight.
A Clallam Transit bus driver and an 80-year-old passenger she rescued from an attack by another rider have been treated and released from Olympic Medical Center, hospital officials said late Saturday.

After seeing what happened to George Zimmerman, why would any sane person get involved?

There isn’t much difference re the politics between Washington State and Oregon. The Reds run the state and major cities (Seattle, Portland). Insanity rules.
