Trump claims Trump University judge has 'absolute conflict'

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump says the federal judge presiding over a lawsuit brought by former Trump University students has an "absolute conflict" in handling the case because he is "of Mexican heritage."

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee tells The Wall Street Journal that U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel has "an inherent conflict of interest" because Trump is "building a wall," a reference to Trump's proposal to build a wall along the border between the U.S. and Mexico.

Managed to stomach 5 minutes of M Kelly last night. I think she soiled her britches over this story.

The Trump university judge does have a conflict of interest. So does the NY state Attorney General.

The judge is allegedly a member of La Raza.

Oh, it's even worse: the law firm that represents the plaintiffs has donated over $650,000 to the Clinton Foundation. Does the phrase conflict of interest apply here?

San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association: http://sdlrla.com/scholarship/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/La-Raza-Dinnner-Program-2014-FINAL.pdf - See last page, top left column: Gonzalo Curiel

San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association - DACA Assistance: http://sdlrla.com/for-the-community/

Judge Curiel’s La Raza associates attempted to disrupt Trump’s rally at San Diego and hundreds of police had to disperse the mob. They were chanting “Your border crossed us. Whose land? Our land. Whose streets? Our streets”.

The same thing happened yesterday in San Jose:

Judge Curiel is associated with a racist organization. That racist organization opposes Trump politically.

His impartiality may reasonably be questioned, he should recuse himself.

Why would the judge being a member of LaRaza and the clinton supporting lawyers he assigned to the case be a conflict?-)

The release of records, a fit of hostility by the judge, shows his incompetence and bias. Trump got him to do something stupid, which wasn't very hard.

Worse, in the light of day, the case looks comical--the original plaintiff dropped out and most everyone wrote and videotaped testimonials supporting the programs. The cases should have been dismissed.

Further, the judge HAS conflict, demonstrates his bias, and has history and association that disqualifies him from this case and from the bench. He is a member of La Raza, yes one of their legal groups, but still, a racist organization. Would his supporters accept a judge who is member of a White-support group? He helped give scholarships to illegal aliens, which is or should be illegal, and in any case, undermines the spirit of the law. His legal group promotes racisim and supports the interests of illegal aliens, which challenges the very laws his is sworn to uphold. No one not of The Race can expect justice in his court. He needs to go.

Of course, a federal judge appointed by Obama who comes from Mexican parents and belongs to La Raza Lawyers of San Diego is *completely* unbiased when it comes to a class action lawsuit filed against a presidential candidate who promises to control the southern border and deport illegal lawbreakers.

M Kelly is unwatchable. It’s evident she’s auditioning for her next gig with some left wing network with undetectable ratings. I have a vision of Kelly’s stay-at-home, metrosexual husband and her children cowering in a dark corner of their NY apartment when she returns from the studio each night.

By definition, plaintiff and defendant have a conflict, and the basis for the conflict can be anything, including irrational pique. Many a lawsuit (and criminal complaint) is brought simply as a means to perpetrate revenge. It is the judge who is supposed to be impartial.

““Your border crossed us”

I asked my brother, who is a sort-of historian, whether we took Mexican land away from them a long time ago. He said no, that there was no border at all between Mexico and America when we drew our border.

Well...I understand Trump can file a challenge to the judge and request he recuse himself but I would hope he has more reason than just ethnicity.

Trump’s criticism of Curiel is not due to Curiel’s ethnicity or ancestry, it is due to Curiel’s bias. Curiel is associated with a racist organization. That racist organization opposes Trump politically.

My best friend has been married for over 30 years to a woman of Hispanic origin whose family has lived in New Mexico for hundreds of years. Her father, grandfather, her uncles, her brothers, and her husband have all served in the United States military. Everyone in her family that I have met loves this country and thank God that the border was drawn South of where their family has lived. None of them appreciate illegal aliens coming across the border and stealing what they have earned with blood and sweat.

Suppose the KKK was a huge problem and the judge was a member of the “KKK Lawyers Association”. Suppose further that Trump wanted all KKK members to be prosecuted. Then a case to which Trump is a party comes before the judge.

I think you’ll see the problem.
