Thank you. Hope that did not sound harsh. Just took me a while to recognize what direction the conversation was coming from.

young unchaste heterosexuals still have far higher NUMBERS. Since we are talking 98% to 2% of the population that would be logical.
However the major increase in not in that demographic.
STDs affect people in all walks of life, particularly young women and men, but these data suggest an increasing burden among gay and bisexual men.

That’s right. A big impact on people from all walks of life; very high rates among promiscuous gay men. And additional risk factor for women on hormonal contraceptives, particularly the long-acting ones (injection, insert, implant).

I feel sorry for the single young people today who are taught that "you can't say no."
If you go out to dinner with someone they are taught that you simply MUST hop in bed with them and have any kind of sex they want.
If you go out to a bar and someone makes a pass at you, the same thing.
They have stripped all the joy out of sex and turned it into grim business that would fit in neatly into 1984.

Got to agree. Used to be, even among wayward young sinners, that the naked embrace was called "making love." Quaint, eh? I am yours, you are mine? At least, it had something to do with love. Now --- from what I hear --- it isn't even user-friendly.
Who ever was naive enough to think promiscuity is pro-sex? Really? Tagline

Yes. People have always had out-of-wedlock sex but, with the exception of prostitution, there was usually an element of caring involved.
Now there is a coldness.
I have had young girls in my Sunday School class who tell me of their first experience on a dirty bathroom floor with a boy who they didn't even like.
When I would ask why they would answer that they were told that if they didn't they were "prudes".
I asked them if it was "prudish" to choose a nice meal, served on clean plates cooked for you by someone who loved you over rooting around in the landfill and eating whatever you found.
Some of them get it.

Promiscuous heterosuxuals have no reason to think themselves exempt from moral censure or public health hazard. Promiscuous heterosexuals are not "the traditional norm." The link below discusses HIV rates among various groups. In summary, homosexual men and drug users have very high rates that has more to do with the deterioration of their health from their lifestyles. Promiscuity among healthy heterosexuals leads to low HIV rates.
An added note, if you meet an infected individual and stay monogamous thereafter you still have a very high risk of catching HIV.

"...f you meet an infected individual and stay monogamous thereafter you still have a very high risk of catching HIV." Not sure what you mean here. Does "meeting" an infected individual spread HIV?

What’s the due penalty for the perversions described in Romans Chapter 1?
