I had an encounter with a blue heron a few years ago. It was going after our Koi. I was about 5 feet from him when he went from a squatting position to a full stance. Egads! Those things are huge when that close. His beak attack range is unbelievable. Thank goodness he flew away. I may have looked like Swiss cheese if it didn’t.
They are amazing to watch. They become rock still and their neck gets into position to strike—lightning fast.
When they fly they look like a pterodactyl!

That’s a great description of them flying. We sometimes have blue herons land and stand on the dock on our family home. Love to watch them - sometimes they look like statues for a while. I always watch them from afar (like on the deck).

When dad first came to stay we erected his large birdseed near a window. First bird to visit was a large blue heron. It was hilarious. Dad was expecting a little chickadee or at largest a blue jay.
Have never seen one in yard before or since. We occasionally get one at pond. Regularly watch the raptors including bald eagles overhead.
I’ve read in the past that it’s 6 billion not 6 million.

Someone said millions yesterday and were “corrected” to billions So I will go back to the millions if that is correct. Doesn’t seem to matter where HRC goes something is missing : silverware, millions .....
Great to hear that at least one Starbucks did it (may have been more, I don’t know). They mentioned on F&F yesterday that at least some of the Chick-fil-a’s did it yesterday, too.

Both the $6 million and the $6 billion are seemingly correct
As I understand it, the $6 million is the amount Trump collected for vet organizations and will announce an accounting.
The $6 billion are Hillary State department funds unaccounted for

I mentioned in my previous post about the National Memorial Day concert (aired Sunday night live and replayed yesterday afternoon my time). It was very interesting with the various pictures, films, commentary about soldiers and units from various wars (tissues needed). Very respectful and patriotic. When they said the new American Idol, Trent, was going to sing the National Anthem, I thought to myself - really, couldn’t find someone else? But, he did a great job and sang it exactly how it’s supposed to be sung.
The fun part was that they had the Beach Boys and watching the audience of all ages dancing, swaying and many singing along.
