CNN's Toobin Defends Hillary Laughing About Defending Child Rapist
newsbusters.org ^ | May 26, 2016

Wednesday's Anderson Cooper 360 saw one of the rare instances in which the dominant media have aired audio of Hillary Clinton laughing about successfully helping a child rapist evade justice when she was a young defense attorney in the 1970s.

But, even after a full CNN report recalling the "aggressive" lengths Clinton undertook for her client, and her later being caught on audio tape laughing about her success while acknowledging she knew he was guilty, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin came to her defense.

After recalling that impugning the integrity of a rape victim was common practice in the legal profession in the 1970s, the liberal CNN analyst dismissed her laughing by likening it to telling "war stories."

Toobin: "As for the laughing, you know, I didn't make out exactly what she was laughing about. It sounded like lawyers talking about war stories, which they do all the time. I just certainly didn't think anything on that tape suggested she was insensitive to women."

Vile and repugnant is how she wakes up on one of her good days.

This issue alone makes Hillary unelectable.

Democrats are delusional if they think she can survive a sustained ad campaign that plays this audio tape.

More disturbing is the charge that she made up lies about the victim - that the victim had made previous spurious charges, and had fantasied about having sex with older men.

If those statements were, in fact, baseless, then she lied to the court to get a child rapist off. There is a line between a vigorous defense, and breaking the law to get a client off.

Toobin is pro- lots of things ...

Toobin had a long term extra-marital affair with Casey Greenfield, daughter of American television journalist and author Jeff Greenfield. Toobin was eventually confirmed as the father of Casey’s child, named Roderick (b. March 2009). Greenfield has sole custody.

No. Rapists and pedophiles have no decency. That’s why they let democrats defend them.

I’m hoping that Trump hits her with a bombardment of ads about this case, and about the following:

1. Clinton’s total silence on the Muslim rapefest in Europe.

2. Clinton’s total silence on the report that 60-80 percent of women and girls coming across our Southern border have been sexually assaulted on their way thru Mexico.

3. Clinton’s total silence about the 500,000 women in the US who are faced with female circumcision.

Each ad can end with: Hillary Clinton, not good for women and girls, and not good for America.

May I remind everyone that the only people who are not under oath in any court proceeding are the attorneys representing either side. Sure, they are supposed to adhere the guidelines, but . . . . . . the system protects those in the system.

Just look to the recent story of the DOJ attorneys who admitted they lied to the Judge in Texas, and the judge let them off with just a stern scolding.

In early days of FR, some notable media figures waded into the site with their own real name. As I recall, Jeff Toobin was one of them. Eventually, he ended up trading angry exchanges with some members here, before he was booted out. IIRC, during the exchanges, he said something about “stupid screen names Freepers have.”

Correction:

“stupid screen names Freepers have.”

==> "stupid screen names Freepers have."
