The Iranian nuclear deal was one of the main factors that influenced Donald Trump’s decision to run for president in 2016, his son, Eric Trump, said on Sunday. “I think, honestly, the Iran nuclear deal was one of the things that made him jump into the race,” Eric Trump told John Catsimatidis on the “Cats Roundtable” radio program on AM 970 in New York. “I think that was a game-changer for him.” “That is when he finally said, ‘Kids, I am going to it. I am going to give this a real shot,’” he added. In his campaign kickoff speech at Trump Tower on June 16, 2015, Trump slammed President Barack Obama for rushing to sign a nuclear deal with Iran. “If he makes that deal, Israel maybe won’t exist very long,” Trump proclaimed. “We have to protect Israel.” Last month, during a campaign rally in Wisconsin, Trump said the Iranians abused Secretary of State John Kerry ‘mentally” and “like a child” during the nuclear negotiations. “They took advantage of him like he was a baby.”

No sane person would give the enemy, who swore to kill you, $150 billion to build/buy nuke to blow you up.

I also remember Cruz declaring that the 2nd Amendment would be repealed if Trump became president. Dude didn’t bat an eye when he said it, nothing. Completely pathological.
Never mind that there’d been a policy paper on Trump’s website for months outlining an extremely resolute stance on 2A rights.
Cruz is so disgusting.
I met his sons at a local gun show; both were really nice. Although they were being bombarded by folks wanting photos, etc...it was OBVIOUS that they were actually trying to shop...lol.
And he said Trump wanted to keep every word of Obamacare. If he had said about those things, “Don’t trust him when he says he’d repeal them,” fine. That would be an opinion. But I don’t enjoy being lied to when I *know* it’s a lie.
Actually he said Trump would “gut” the 2A, based on the fact that 16 years ago Trump favored renewing the Assault Weapon Ban. Which was exactly the same position as Bush and the John Ashcroft Justice Department, of which Cruz was a part. That’s the kind of weasel like lawyer speak Cruz specializes in. Like saying he had “no intention” of supporting amnesty in the future, instead of promising not to support it.
The key is that Trump never said he liked it - he's been talking about how wrong and stupid and crooked it is for some time.....
Like Katrina (Trump Spokeswoman) said on Fox - if you want the truth about Trump, get it from his own mouth or from one of their official spokespeople because nobody else is authorized to speak for him...
Never thought I'd say this....but Cruz is even worse than a Democrat.

Cruz as a Republican is his biggest deceit.
Notice how he takes several positions on an issue....then tests the political winds.
He then comes out of his rathole expounding on one of the positions he feels would benefit him.
As Cruz's prospects for winning the noomination weakened, his claims about his primary rival became nonsensical lies, ala Baghdad Bob.
