Oh my. A recent Clout Research poll from the State of Oregon (full pdf below), not exactly well known as a bastion of all things republican, shows candidate Donald Trump beating Hillary Clinton 44 to 42%.
However, with Independent Voters, Donald Trump is CRUSHING Hillary Clinton by 27 points 53% to 26%. The Monster Vote effect:

Not surprised. Alot of liberals who are supporters of Bernie would rather vote for Trump than Hilary.

He’s lying about California. California is 3 states Southern, Middle, Northern. Trump not’s going to win 2 of the 3 unless Hillary falls into an epileptic fit during a public appearance.
If you use Portland and Salem numbers....it’s like 90-percent Democrat. However, there are three major counties down in the rural area of the state....which typically go like 65-percent for Republicans. The rest of the state is mostly split 50-50, going up and down in various election periods. If you ever drive through the whole state....you’d swear that it’s four different states packed into one.
Whoever is the first one to tell Hillary about this poll, should be certain they are in a public place, with no sharp objects within her easy grasp. Hill will behave herself with the camera rolling. Once that stops, you’re on your own.
The democrats are destroying Oregon.
Everyone is sick and tired of Portland, Wyden, Merkley and all of the demoncrat governors we’ve had and all of the damage they have done.

Repeating what I have typed for the better part of a year: Trump is a Truman Democrat. By any 2016 measure, that makes him two things: mostly conservative, and unafraid to speak his mind.
People who call themselves "independents," meaning who are not ideological, are in reality Truman Democrats. They still think of the GOP as the "rich man's party," but they don't relate to the two generations of American-apologist McGovernites who have led the Democrat Party. They voted for Bill because he sounded like a Truman Democrat with a drawl, and they voted for Obama in 2008 because he sounded like the reincarnation of MLK, but they are not fooled by Hillary!'s attempts to portray herself as America's Gift To The Little People.
Now let me suggest something else. Not only is Trump 2016's GOP version of HST--to be more accurate, he is 2016's version of Roger Enright, but that is for another discussion. I think Hillary! is becoming 2016's socialist version of Gov. Dewey, who was merciless to his political enemies, who ran for President twice, in large measure because he thought he deserved the office, who ran with Earl Warren as his VP choice ('nuff said), and who was running against a Democrat party split three ways (sounds like the GOP today). Which is why, unless she is indicted or somehow "convinced" to step aside for Joe/Faux, she will be touted as winning the election throughout the campaign, until she loses, because the GOP base will unite behind Trump, and the "independents," meaning the Truman Democrats, will join in.

At Fresno, Trump pledged to make California one of his states.
If he can carry California and Oregon, that will be a real signal to the rinos across America to get out or to get on the Trump train.
