Zucked Up: Why Silicon Valley Is Scared To Death Of Trump Part 1.
Breitbart.com ^ | May 28, 2016 | Lee Stranahan

California’s high-tech business wizards like Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg are in full freak-out mode over Donald Trump, and the key to understanding why lies in the H-1B visa program. As a recent L.A. Times story titled “Donald Trump has done the unthinkable: Unite Silicon Valley” reports: Ambitious start-up CEOs who swore off talking politics for fear of offending investors are enlisting in campaigns to discredit Trump. Longtime valley Republican stalwarts who have voted for every GOP nominee for decades say they can’t do it this year. The libertarian-minded innovators who just want to get government out of their way have less faith in Trump than they do in even Hillary Clinton, the Democrat with big plans to grow the bureaucracy.

Every time I read one of these stories about Trump scaring the pee out of the Marxist bedwetters, I’m more and more convinced that I need to vote for him.

“The libertarian-minded innovators who just want to get government out of their way...”

Libertarian my butt. If these goosestepping silicon CEOs were any more fascist, they’d be flying Third Reich flags. Oh, excuse me. In Silicon Valley libertarian means cheering all bat-chit crazy libertine practices and embracing every iteration of tyrannical leftism, including working with commie China to kill dissenters.

I spent the last five weeks in the bay area where I was born and raised. Every other car sports a Bernie sticker there. I as a white male in a tech job was without a doubt a low percentage minority and was made to feel like one. The housing prices are astronomical ... the traffic horrendous .. the people rude and indifferent. Sillycon Valley has turned the Valley of Hearts Delight into a living techie hellhole.

Many years ago when I graduated with a BS degree in Computer science, I had offers to stay where I was, go to work for Microsoft, or go to work as an army officer.
The Army was to stupid to realize I had already spent 6 years active duty. I knew that Microsoft work weeks were 80 plus hours per week, no overtime. My present company gave me a big raise plus I got overtime in an engineering position.
I may have done much better money wise with Microsoft as they were in the process of writing that mess called Windows, but I had a family, and those kind of hours would have destroyed it.
These software guys want cheap labor and lots of output.

The libertarian-minded innovators who just want to get government out of their way

Abolishing the HIB Visa Program is by definition Getting The Government OUT OF THE WAY!!

STOP BEING A TRAITOR TO AMERICA!

That’s all I ask.

You are being a traitor to America when you blame things that aren’t to blame and fail to strive to eliminate things that are to blame.

That’s what I have to say.

The H1-B program IS a racket to drive salaries down. A race to the bottom. One thing connected “head-hunters” will do is come up with completely unrealistic job requirements to try to ensure that no American could qualify for the job, and bring in a foreigner who would work for significantly less, while the head-hunter got a great fee.

I’ve mentioned this before, but in 2005, I was looking for a job, and saw something that was absolutely perfect for me. At the time I had 4 different Novell Master CNE certifications, and was “Master Certified Novell Instructor” as well. The job requirements were basically all of Novell’s products, and not only did I hold certifications in all of them, I was certified by Novell to TEACH courses on them! Needless to say, I did NOT get the job.

Years later, I learned that the company that was looking for someone was a company where I had set up their pilot project, and come up with their plan to migrate from IBM OS/2 Lan Server to Novell, and then educated all of their administrators!

The guy the head-hunter brought in lasted 6 months, and convinced the company to give up on Novell, and move to Microsoft, which cost the company millions of dollars. I was told had they known I was available at the time, they would have hired me on the spot.

Mark

It seems to me more and more that “libertarian” is synonymous with “criminal”.

Good observation.

It’s also a big part of the uniparty’s power and anti-American agenda and our amoral cultural drug and queer hell. Rand combined the ideals of cultural Marxism with self centered and unethical business practices.

So basically, somebody had a baby and people wondered if there would be a shower.

Further, you tell people to think happy thoughts, because, yeah, that...

Then, oddly enough, you go full kitchen-sink by inexplicably invoking a religious appeal, not of God, but of the devil.

Bad morale exists among many non foreign workers ... because of all the foreign workers. I've spent countless unpaid overtime, weekends, during vacations cleaning up after their messes.

and they are treated better than we are. They are used to scare us into putting those hours in and covering up the disaster that is offshoring and crappy h1-b hires. If you don't destroy your family life and health for the boss you'll get replaced. They even bluntly threaten it.

Sure, everyplace is different, but they've all been as described at the companies I've worked for. You are very lucky not to be in such an environment. But they are common place.

My biggest gripe of all, is that companies hire "so called" master degree developers, from untraceable universities in India... that just "manage" to have EXACTLY the skill sets listed on the job descriptions... on their resumes. Amazing how that works.

Last time we were about to hire one of them, I decided to "test" my theory... and got HR to put experience for a software tool that DIDN'T EVEN EXIST on the job requirements. Guess what happened? Almost ALL of the Indian applicants had that non existent tool on their resumes.

It's all about H-1B.

Tech companies in the Valley have already shifted AT LEAST 50% of their domestic workforce to H-1B, and those granted a green card for squirting a kid while here.

The layoffs of Americans is accelerating while the import of foreign labor, too, accelerates.

It's because they'll work for 1/2 of what a similarly skilled American will.

Think trickle down folks...eventually this affects everyone and every industry.

But.. but.. being a traitor pays so well! What do you want, for us to show concern about our neighbors and stuff? Our brother’s keeper when it comes to jobs..?

Next you’ll be expecting patriotism. Ain’t gonna happen. Hi Tech means No Borders. Paving the way for the man of perdition...

Someone is only talking to SV Executives.
SV American Engineers would say something completely different.
I suspect they are staying quiet as they don’t want protesters showing up at their homes/work.

It is going to be REALLY interesting to see how SV votes. (excluding San Fransisco)

Back 30 years ago, that was exactly how it was in Silicon Valley, Portland OR and other centers of High Tech.
It is NOT like that now.

75% of hiring managers are now from India and when they need key people, they ONLY hire Indians.
Americans are given crap assignments and every attempt is made by HR and management to force them into early retirement.
Americans are expected to train in their new workers knowing that in 5 years, they will take their job.

I was forced out after 25 years at Intel.
I could have stayed but all it would have meant is for next 5 years they would have made my life a living hell until I left.

You are lucky right now.
It won’t last.

It’s not just the west coast. I’m supposed to have dinner with a couple of former Disney IT guys who’s jobs were outsource to HCL/Cognizant. At this point, they’ve been out of work for 18 months.

Every H1-B and OPT visa holder needs to be sent home. There are too many Americans with the appropriate skills out of work.
