Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty for Dylann Roof, who is accused of killing nine people at a historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, in July 2015.
Roof, who is white, is charged with 33 federal offenses, including hate crime charges for allegedly targeting his victims on the basis of their race and religion. A judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in July 2015. "The nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm compelled this decision," Attorney General Loretta Lynch said.

Why does this need to be a Federal offense? South Carolina should be perfectly able to off this loser. Okay, I know why it is, hate crime, bias, blah, blah, but if none of those were Federal offenses, Roof would still be looking at a well-deserved frying.

That might indeed be true, but it’s not an argument against executing this piece of garbage who killed old ladies praying in Church. He can definitely die and the world will be better because he won’t be in it anymore.

I can’t think of a single death penalty that I objected to. Give the thug a fair trial, appropriate appeals, and then execute the murderer as soon as possible.
