3 more bikers file federal civil suits over Twin Peaks arrests
Waco Tribune ^ | May 20, 2016 | TOMMY WITHERSPOON

Three bikers arrested after the Twin Peaks shootout in Waco have joined the ranks of seven others who are suing McLennan County, Waco and state officials, alleging civil rights violations.

Bradley Terwilliger, of Bastrop County, and Benjamin Matcek and Jimmy Dan Smith, both of Burleson County, are seeking unspecified damages in their lawsuit, filed Friday in a Travis County federal court.

Like others before it, the lawsuit names McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna, Waco Police Chief Brent Stroman, Waco police Detective Manuel Chavez and an unnamed Department of Public Safety agent as defendants.

Reyna did not return phone messages left at his office Friday.

“I’m generally 100% for law enforcement. This is different.”

Me too, but they have to be men and women of integrity. Problem is, there are too many “this is different” situations today, and I think the problem is that all too often LEO higher-ups are appointed by “civilian” administrations, not elected by those they serve. And you have to add to the problem Cop Unions that will always “stand up” for an accused cop, even when the evidence of criminal behavior is obvious.
Just think, if James Comey, the FBI Director, served at the pleasure of the President, Hillary would be completely out of danger. But he has a ten-year term of office, thus the President has no direct control over him

How many Hells Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, Cossacks do you know?

None today - many years ago I knew a number of Hells Angels and Iron Horsemen. The Iron Horsemen weren't one of the worst but the worst of them decided to break off and go with the Hells Angels. I used to be pretty crazy in the late '60s early '70s and I know what the bad ones are like - intimately.

It has nothing to do with my other assertions - the outlaw gangs are a small percentage of bikers and the ones I know and associate with today are solid folk.

How many of them do you know?

At Twin Peaks the ‘exception’ was more the rule.

Granted - my comments were general based on personal experience and not meant as a flowery review of the Waco gangs.

I believe it is more complicated than that. There is plenty of evidence that Comey is a straight arrow, but his autonomy from the DOJ is not complete. The DOJ under Holder and now under Lynch is simply a puppet to Obozo and the law be damned. And Congress has not acted in their capacity, instead has bowed to Obama’s every wish.

Is that because they are all compromised in some form? Likely.

The Threat of an Article V Convention? It grows. Governor Abbot is now on board. There are others who know how serious this is. The blind peacocks who have government jobs and will protect that interest at all costs are an element in our current “deer in the headlight” Fed Gov.

Then, why do you support the outlaw gangs in your posts?

?????

How in the hell did you have me supporting outlaw gangs in my post? Hopefully you did what I do from time to time and get so many issues running in my head that I confuse a particular issue or who I was talking with.

The original post I responded to was From Texas Fossil: "Go ahead and throw rocks at me for this, but not all the bikers are criminals. FACT"

My response was: "Some of the most patriotic, down-to-earth folks out there are bikers - many of them vets...."

It would seem that you have something against bikers in general or believe the gangsters at Waco have too much support and you "see" this support everywhere. At any rate, I started out speaking in general instead of about the Waco bikers and tried to stay general/overhead, and you misinterpreted.

“How in the hell did you have me supporting outlaw gangs in my post?”

Then you retract your posts from last year posting that the cops murdered the Waco bikers?

Then you retract your posts from last year posting that the cops murdered the Waco bikers?

At the time, the available data indicated malfeasance by the "official" and there was lots of confusion. There still seems to be some confusion about who did what when.

Once again, my recent posts were general in nature regarding a lot (probably the majority) of bikers.

If it's that important to you, let me make you happy - if anyone rides a bike, they must be scum of the earth and deserve anything that happens to them - they're dangerous and scaaaaaaaary.

Not really but you were willing to discount first hand accounts and take the side of the gangsters over the police.

Me: Then you retract your posts from last year posting that the cops murdered the Waco bikers?

” There still seems to be some confusion about who did what when.’

So, you are still standing by your opinion that the cops murdered the gangsters just because they wanted to?

I have a question for you. We all know that FR stays “free” because it is supported solely by Freepers. It is also apparent that there are many FReepers who claim to espouse conservative values but who refuse to donate even a token few bucks to support the site.

Yes or no:

Are you one of those FReeloaders?
