Three bikers arrested after the Twin Peaks shootout in Waco have joined the ranks of seven others who are suing McLennan County, Waco and state officials, alleging civil rights violations.

Bradley Terwilliger, of Bastrop County, and Benjamin Matcek and Jimmy Dan Smith, both of Burleson County, are seeking unspecified damages in their lawsuit, filed Friday in a Travis County federal court.

Like others before it, the lawsuit names McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna, Waco Police Chief Brent Stroman, Waco police Detective Manuel Chavez and an unnamed Department of Public Safety agent as defendants.

Reyna did not return phone messages left at his office Friday.

This makes 10 federal civil rights cases filed against Waco Prosecutors and police.

Go ahead and throw rocks at me for this, but not all the bikers are criminals. FACT

One of the civilest places I have ever been was a biker bar.

“One of the civilest places I have ever been was a biker bar.”

Was that before or after everybody is shot?

From what I’ve read, these bikers have good cases.

As the particular cases come to light, it becomes clear that Reyna grossly overstepped his prosecutorial duties. His vendetta against the Bandidos and the Cossacks has dragged people into the mix who have nothing to do with either group and certainly had nothing to do with the shootings. Unfortunately, this may open the door for some or all of the really guilty ones to escape justice.

When I was in college, my band used to play at a biker bar in Bedford, Ohio. Outlaws bar. Other bikers would come in and start fights. The Outlaws would line up and protect us “Play Ginney with A Blue Dress.’ I had a great time playing for them! And the redhead who liked guitar players? Whoa!

They’re my home away from home and the only other place on earth that I truly feel safe.

The bikers watch over me.

I know that some of them are & others are places where non bikers don’t belong. Too easy to be confused as being a LEO or informant. That is dangerous position to be in.

This is not just a local abuse of power. The Feds have a hand in this too. They will not admit to it unless forced. I have evidence supporting that statement. Things I saw that vanished away and the on-line denial of access and java script attacks that were going on. They went on for weeks.

I’m not an attorney, but have come to know one of the defendants. This is a really screwed up mess the way it has been handled.

But remember, it is Wac(k)o.

TF, based on what is known, this whole thing stinks to high hell! I believe, at the end of the day, Waco, McLennan County, the State of Texas and the FedGov. are going to take a hard fall on this. You simply can't us the legal system in this fashion because you happen “not to like Bikers,” and “They Deserved It! as your rationale for a malicious prosecution or to “teach them a lesson.”
