I visited the store, shortly after the series became popular.

Just an average sized shop of which there are many in LV.

Outside in the parking lot there was graffiti: “we love you Chum Lee”. He was the object of female sympathy.

Chum Lee has had Ringo Starr luck, but he just blew it.

It said 4 ounces. That’s not all that much pot. It probably wasn’t a full baggie.

It’s just personal level stash, no BFD. the key here is that it’s not a sufficient quantity to be used for dealing.

Agree on the guns. You don’t have to register them.

I like the show, I may be in minority here. I hope Chum gets through this and changes whatever he needs to. Sounds like a lot of accusations that are unexplained being thrown at him. Also sounds like he was in possesion of illegal drugs.

I worked with a guy like ChumLee, but without Chum’s insatiable intellectual curiosity and raging ambition.

“Or in California, they can confiscate your guns and charge you with felony weapons charges if you are caught smoking a cigarette in your back yard.”

Or, not dressed as a woman - no matter who you are.

It’s nobody’s business how many guns he has. Any registration or licensing requirement is a clear violation of the right recognized in the second amendment.

Yes, ignorant or dishonest reporters love to throw in “the guns were not registered” to imply that there is some requirement to do so. However one of the questions on Form 4473 asks if you are a user of illegal drugs, and it’s a felony to lie or even possess a gun if you are. Some states similar laws. A few years back the Federal prosecutor in Los Angeles put out a press release warning medical marijuana users in CA that it’s a federal crime for them to own guns, even though it’s legal under state law.

That is unconstitutional as heck. Do you mean a guy that drinks can’t “OWN” a gun ,eventhough it is 100 miles away ?

“What have you got?”

“A baggie of pot and some meth.”

“And what do you want to do with it?”

“I want to get baked and watch cartoons.”

“I know a guy, he knows everything about this stuff. Just wait around here for a little bit and I’ll get him down here.”

I noticed your exchange regarding crimes, searches and the like.

I think you might find some insight in this quote from Ayn Rand's epic novel Atlas Shrugged.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”

Pot is legal in Colorado.

Actually, it is not.

Possession of up to a certain amount of pot is not illegal under Colorado state law. Possession of any amount of pot is illegal everywhere in the U.S. under federal law.

I am not saying it should be. IMHO, purely intrastate growing, sale or possession of pot (or any other substance) in Colorado should be entirely a matter of Colorado state law. Federal law should apply only if you are transporting or selling across state lines. The U.S. Supreme Court, however, has decreed otherwise.
