Pat Brady Seeks to Destroy Marriage, the IL GOP, and Dissent
Illinois Family Action ^ | 5/21/2016 | Laurie Higgins

Posted on 05/21/2016 1:40:51 PM PDT by stars & stripes forever

Friday morning I sent this text message to Pat Brady who sits on the Illinois GOP Platform Committee that proposed removing the marriage plank that defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman:

“Do not replace the marriage plank with the proposed RINO/Libertarian plank that disrespects the view that marriage has an intrinsic nature, [and the view] that children have an intrinsic right to be raised by a mother and a father whenever possible. The language in this pernicious plank necessarily endorses the legal recognition of plural unions. Evidently, RINOs/Libertarians on the committee have no understanding of the essential role marriage has in the health and survival of any society. Mr. Brady, you’ve done enough damage to IL.”

Brady responded, “F**k u.”

Please notice that the destroyers of families who are really earnest won’t just wreck a handful here, a handful there, but will harness Caesar to do their dirty work. Why weren’t there preachers in every street corner calling for gay marriage? There didn’t have to be if the USSC could order it.

Ergo, if Caesar refuses to get involved in that arena, the applecart of the destroyers will be mostly upset. Now let churches do what they were always told to do, and voila.

More than “fine and dandy” sir. The bible way, sir.

[The problem with politics today is that the elected believe that they have no need for the voters.]

This has been in the works for a long time. Several pro-traditional marriage supporters who applied to be on the platform committee were passed over for “remove the plank” people.

And the bible way works because this is the operating manual for mankind. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. If you want the airplane to fly, you read how its manufacturer wants you to turn this key, that switch, push this knob, pull that one, etc. Then do it. The manufacturer made it to respond to that. Your best theory about the airplane won’t prevail over this.

For us to abandon the family to those who would destroy it is to commit national suicide.

Marx and Engels knew quite well that they could not destroy free societies without destroying the family. And they said so quite clearly in their writings.

The Republicans in power pay about as much attention to the GOP platform as they do to the Constitution.

They pay even less attention to the wishes of the people. It's the will of the courts that have the final say.

For “us” — what us?

You mean would-be government dictators of all things nanny social?

Or you mean the church, who is the rightful steward of the Message of promise and restoration?

THE GOVERNMENT HAS FOR WAY TOO LONG ENJOYED GODFATHER STATUS. THIS IS AN ABOMINATION!

Former state party chairman, corrupt ultra-RINO jerk extraordinaire. After he was outsed as state party chair, the ACLU hired him to lobby Republican legislators to embrace faggotry.

He should be shot out of a cannon.

I couldn't post on FR during the last three days because I didn't have internet access while I was in Peoria for the IL GOP convetion. I was a delegate from Crook County.

That being said, I have excellent news.

Pat Brady and his fellow combiner scum hijacked the platform committee and wrote the 2016 platform to replace the party's support of traditional marriage with "everything goes in the IL GOP". If you support man-goat marriage, there's a place for you in the party. They added some worthless placating words about "religious freedom" and "God-given rights" to make it sound like it was OK for the rest of the plank to give carte blanche to the homo lobby. The new pro-gay platform passed by a 10-7-1 (a gutless "conservative" from the 3rd CD voted "present")

Quickly, conservatives at the convention checked the rules committee and got the 7 traditional marriage platform committee members to draft a "minority report" that would force the general session to publish a "dissent" saying this year's platform was NOT unamious and that a large number of the members wanted an "alternate version" of Plank VII (the section on family values)

Next, they maneuvered all night to get the signatures of at least 50 out of 102 GOP county chairman (they got 79 -- 29 more than was needed) under the IL GOP bylaws to FORCE a vote on the floor of the general section the next day to override the platform committee's language and have the convention as a whole amend the proposed party platform. The proposed alternate would simply revert to the text of the 2012 platform for Plank VII.

This was successfully invoked during the general section on Saturday and the chairman instructed each side to choose 3 people to argue for their position (adopting the 2016 platform as written or amending it). The pro-homo lobby tried to blackmail us by their version included religious freedom and mentioned God and we better do what they say or we'd be "removing God just like the Democrats". They were loudly booed during their attempts to pressure us to do their bidding. Congressman Randy Hultgren even went "off script" during his scheduled speaking time to talk about his marriage and stated that he would be appalled if the state party didn't have the courage to stand for marriage, for which he received a standing ovation.

The convention then went to a head count where they asked everyone to stand who favored amending the platform so section VII would be changed to the 2012 text. Huge numbers of the rank and file delegates (about 90% of us were Trump or Cruz supporters) stood and the parlimentarian counted a finally tally of 782 out of 966 delegates voting YEA. We only needed a simple majority of 490 to amend the platform, but we had a lopsided majority of nearly 80% of delegates supporting traditional marriage.

The chairman graveled that the motion had carried, then asked to proceed to a vote on adopting the revised text 2016 platform as the official platform, and we all voted YEA again (Brady and his RINO ilk shouted a few futile NOs). The platform was then declared adopted.

Overall, it a huge victory for grassroots conservatives over Madigan's stooges in the combine. A handful of political elites had no control over the delegates as a whole.

He did. Laurie Higgins even took a screenshot of her phone to prove it:

F***in A!

Now, how can we get all these swine out of these positions of power? If decent conservatives make up over 3/4 of the county party chairmen and delegates how come these crapheels controlled that committee?

What did Rauner say at the convention?

For the convention, committee members are appointed by members of the IL GOP State Central Committee. Too many of them are liberal. We should ensure that will change in April 2018.

We delegates get to work and find a way to close ranks, that's how.

I was there Saturday morning but had to leave just after Gov. Rauner's speech so I missed all the fireworks.

The Governor did a fantastic job of energizing the delegates but basically committed to not backing down in his fight for lower taxes and a balanced budget.

Somehow as my wife and I were rushing out to make it downtown to meet with our daughters soon to be in laws and Fr. Jim for their final marriage prep meeting we got swept in with the Govner and his security detail on the escalator down to the lobby. We got to shake his hand and snap a pic. I can't say how friendly and personable a Governor we have and he seems even taller than he looks on TV.

I think Bruce is Illinois own version of Trump working to bring the sanity of his business experience to bear on the fraud and corruption that has brought us to the sorry state to which government has descended.

Go Bruce

Go Trump

Go Illinois

Go Corrupt Hillary (and her cabal) to prison in 2016.

As with all human affairs, network!

Illinois conservatives operate at a level reminiscent of those who were arriving on the prairie in Conestoga wagons before the Civil War. That must change.

Start by publishing the names, addresses and telephone numbers and e-mails of each and every county Republican Chairman marking those who petitioned the good platform change in Peoria. Also the 2016 state convention delegate/alternate roster.

Add to that list, the same information as to RELIABLE state legislators and local officeholders at the county or municipal level.

Next, identify sympathetic and RELIABLE leaders of religious, issue, fraternal and social issue and taxpayer organizations. Such groups as Evangelical pastors, Conservative Catholic priests, Chassidic and other Orthodox Jews, socially conservative Mormons, Knights of Columbus, Masonic Lodges, right to life groups, family issue groups, Tea Party groups, veterans' groups like American Legion, VFW, DAV, AmVets, gun groups like NRA, GOA, 2nd Amendment Foundation, Eagle Forum, etc., etc., etc. Use your imagination as to others.

As the roster grows, analyze the county Republican committees for their remarkable number of vacancies. Apparently, each county party chairman may APPOINT a person to fill ANY vacancy. Match our RELIABLES with the vacancies and make a mass request simultaneously in all counties for appointments to the vacancies suggesting the names of RELIABLES who have agreed to serve.

I am no expert on this stuff in Illinois but it appears to me that the crucial level in Illinois is the county party committee. Once you control those, you can choose directly or indirectly (I don't know which) the next vital level: State Central Committee members (apparently one per state senate district?). Obtain a majority at that level and you can elect suitable state party leaders and take out the garbage.

Our strength is that there are a LOT more of us than there are of them. Our weaknesses are that they are far better organized and also far better funded.

I wish that I were young enough and healthy enough to do more than contribute ideas and internet warfare. Certainly Illinois natives who are capable can make major contributions of effort toward an effort to seize the party and likely succeed. A skilled organizer from out of state, arriving today to live in Illinois, could succeed. AND the organization skills do NOT have to have been acquired in politics as such. Methods are largely not ideological. An effective method will serve capitalist or communist, moralist or degenerate, etc. Our people must master basic organizing skills and methods.

If people want to have fun while organizing, they could do worse than studying Saul Alinsky's books: Reveille for Radicals and Rules for Radicals. Politically, he was scum, but he knew how to have fun. Let us create an anti-Alinsky (on policy) army of happy warriors!
