Three air marshals were among the 66 people aboard EgyptAir Flight MS804 that crashed while flying over the Mediterranean Sea early Thursday, authorities said.
France's transport chief Alain Vidalies told reporters that having that many security officers on such a flight was "the usual practice." He added that the plane — which can carry up to 189 passengers — was not transporting any freight.

Former NTSB investigator Greg Feith told MSNBC that Egypt had boosted security recently, which could explain the number of officers on board.
"The only other reason to have security personnel like we do here in the U.S. is if they were transporting some sort of prisoner or someone of interest," Feith added. "But most likely this was similar to our federal air marshals flying on this flight."
Egyptian aviation security has been under intense scrutiny since a Russian Metrojet passenger plane crashed after taking off from Sharm el-Sheikh airport on Oct. 31, killing all 224 people on board.

Air marshalls cant fly the plane or prevent it from a pilot crashing it. Or probably cant get into a locked armored cockpit.

One of the first bits of information the “news” reported was that there were three air marshals on the flight. I’m not sure why, but my lie detector pinged.
There’s just something off about having three air marshals on a 60-some-odd passenger flight. That, and how quickly the public was informed of this “fact.”
So, if the powers-that-be want the public to believe there were three air marshals on the flight, why? What purpose does this serve?

Is it odd that they had been yo so many different destinations in such a short time. Seems to me that Cairo Paris would be a turnaround. Same planes same crews.

I’m starting to think a No Muslim Airline might be a successful business venture. It’s not because people hate Muslims. It’s because no one outside of Muslims blows passenger planes out of the sky.
