That’s a long flight on a 737, yes?

2000 mile flight . I’m looking at deltas sky magazine and they lost the 737-800 as having a range of 2930 miles.

When a commercial airliner disappears from air traffic control RADAR, it first means the aircraft is no longer squawking, meaning the electronics on board are not communicating with the air traffic control system. It does not mean the RADAR stopped seeing a return, a “skin paint” from the aircraft.

It could mean it was turned off and the aircraft diverted.
It could mean the aircraft crashed.

We shall see.

Originates from a country overrun by Muslim immigrants headed for a county recently controlled by the Muslim brotherhood.

What could possibly go wrong?

Looking at Flight Aware - looks like last contact was over the ocean.

Wonder if Kerry’s visit has anything to do with this?

Last contact 2600 ft altitude at 149 kts. Long descent over the Med for landing at Cairo.

Very low. Shoot down possibility.

Have you considered applying for a pilot job with Northwest Airlines? /sarc>

Sounds like NW needs you to do more to qualify than just slur your typing.

Full Disclosure: a few years back, before they got acquired by Delta, there were two or three incidents within a couple of weeks of each other, where Northwest Pilots got caught with elevated blood alcohol content either right before or right after a flight. Since they were headquartered in Minneapolis/St. Paul, there was a lot of local fuss about it.

Sarcasm at them, not you.
