WASHINGTON – Sen. Ted Cruz is taking some time off from the Senate after his closely watched return to work last week...

“After several months of a nonstop schedule, Sen. Cruz is taking some downtime this week with Heidi and the girls,” Cruz spokesman Phil Novack said...

Where is Cruz going to unwind? Folks on Twitter say he’s been spotted relaxing in Mexico.

No one is requesting any kiss ass actions. But continuing the attacks and not reaching a hand out in nice gestures and pulling them in I can assure you at 100% certainty it’s a loss.

So we can either be spiteful, bitter, and stubborn or we can move on and attempt to bring them to our side. As my boss would tell me do you want to be right and lose or be conciliatory and win? You can be right all the way to the door. The choice is yours

The 20+% across key states who could stay at hom

Absurd. Any special li'l snowflake deciding to allow the Butcheress of Benghazi full Oval Office access just because Cruz got his lazy @ss mocked on an internet message board (!!) -- whether one time, or a thousand -- would never have voted for Trump in the first place. Spare me.

That my friend is a losing strategy. It isn’t about snowflakes or the “term du jour” it’s about unifying and respect for those who supported their candidate to the end.

And what the hell good does it do anyone to continue attacking a now non-candidate? Even posting this garbage is juvenile. Focus your energy on where it matters, the democrat candidate. Continuously posting absolute nonsense about someone not even in the race does nothing but divide. We are either going to unite and win or divide and lose. Don’t believe me? People sitting at home didn’t work so well for Mitt now did it? Regardless as to why people stayed home Mitt lost. Keeping these line of attacks will produce the same results so no I won’t “spare you.”

As a Trump supporter early on,

1) I can’t tell that’s Cruz. Looks like any zillion Hispanic guys.

2) If it is, I would say Mexico over the US because of fewer cameras.

3) That said, he is PAID to be a senator, not to run for office, and why the hell should he take a vacation from his “second job” which was his choice to pursue? Seems like he ought to, for a change, do his first job. If I was a Texan-—supporter or not-—I’d be pissed.

4) Above all, it is stuff like this that killed his campaign. Maybe there is nothing wrong, but it has the appearance of poor judgement, just like the “legal” CO delegate heist. Cruz needs a serious lesson in what LOOKS kosher.

All valid points and you didn’t say these things disrespectfully. Although with #3 all candidates leave their day jobs be it Govenor, Senator, Rep, VP etc to run for the office Cruz isnt the first nor will he be the last. I have no issue if the guy wants to take a one week vacation to recharge. Hell for all we know he is thinking through a great deal that went wrong (introspection). No way he’d get that done in DC. But regardless, I’m ok if he wants to recharge as long as it isnt excessive.

That my friend is a losing strategy.

Assertion offered without evidence. Show me hard evidence of these ostensibly countless hundreds of thousands of otherwise rock-ribbed conservative voters out there who -- as per your premise -- will happily place Hillary Clinton squarely in the seat of ultimate power, because their delicate fee-fees got all hurted on Ted "Elmer Gantry" Cruz's tender behalf. Sans any such proof, I give said mythical creatures roughly as much credence as I would pixies, or dryads.

And what the hell good does it do anyone to continue attacking a now non-candidate?

It isn't my responsibility (or anyone else's, for that matter) to demonstrate whether or not it "does any good," thankfully. Again: you're the one advancing the claim (i.e., that Cruz voters will allow Cankles into the White House, out of sullen, stupid spite); you provide the evidence for same... or don't. Only one, however, will net you any observable results.

I must say, however: your portrait of the typical Cruzie as some shortsighted, rage-addled electoral drama queen isn't entirely as complimentary an illustration as you doubtless intend it to be. I'm perfectly willing to take your word on that one, however.

True. People vacation in Mexico and I have no problem with that. I have to say my first reaction to that was oh boy what is he doing in Mexico? He claimed to be tough on illegal immigration and then didn’t want to talk about illegal immigration, walked back on amnesty, rinse and repeat. Considering that- Mexico is the worst place for him to vacation.

As you said it just doesn’t look right! I agree if he was my Senator I would be pretty upset that he is absent so much.

I don’t make statements that are unfounded. Since we’ve all been following polls and cite those that are positive and less likely to stand behind those that are not favorable (even if it is the same company we stood behind when showing positive). Anywho, I’ll provide a cross section of polls taken from both friend and foe sources that pretty much all reach the very same conclusion. Believe it or not, not my intent to force the issue or belief. It’s only my intent to share. We can either unite or divide as many here so gleefully are willing to do. Again dividing, maligning and scorching the earth does not a general win. Take it up with the pollsters

There are many more beyond these. I only included very few but most are showing the same trend. Many will stay home and that should give many pause and a change of strategy instead of continuing to lash out. Me personally I’ve been trying through positives to bring people along

Cruz has stopped his campaign, but has not conceded defeat, nor congratulated the presumptive nominee yet, nor has he honored his solemn pledge by publicly confirming his support for the presumptive nominee Trump.

He sent out confusing, conflicting signals about his plans for the convention in Cleveland, hinting to his supporters that he still has a chance to prevail, in spite of the obvious rejection by the voters.

He has not behaved in an honorable way throughout his campaign, and his roundabout assistance he gave to Hellary, by continuing his nasty and scurrilous attacks on the presumptive nominee, even after it was painfully obvious to everyone that he (Cruz) was not going to even get close to winning, ensures that he will continue to be attacked by many people until he wakes up and "does the right thing".

pfff, they were just happy to vote for someone who came to Texas and wore cowboy boots, they’re a bit miffed at him now, but his campaign strategy is to buy a big belt buckle, that’ll lock up his re-election.

When Cruz endorses Trump with a nice “reaching a hand out nice gesture” he might get some respect.

But as we keep hearing reports that he still intends to disrupt the convention with monkey shines...

...and as many of us think he and his followers (like the one who posts the anti-Trump cartoons every morning) will forever be attacking Trump during President Trumps’ first term so Cruz can run in 2020, don’t hold your breath, your side is still stirring the pot.

Nothing here more recent than mid-April, I see... and, I also cannot help but note, nothing here which actually goes towards supporting your original point, back in #37: namely, that there demonstrably exists a substantial number of Cruzies so hopelessly far gone in cult-like adoration of their man, that -- like Palestinian suicide bombers -- they are not only willing, but downright eager to suicide themselves, electorally speaking, in benighted "defense" of their chosen Allah.

I see nothing in any of the material provided, in any of your links, to buttress said supposition... and, honestly, is that really what you're telling me what even a bare handful of Cruzies are really, truly like, sanity-wise? Is the argument being presented, "DON'T CROSS 'EM! THEY AIN'T RIGHT IN TH' HAID!", ultimately? Because that approach, historically, has been something of a non-starter. ;)

In the meantime, however, we have the most current, up-to-date findings, more representative of the facts now on the ground:

IT’S OFFICIAL: DONALD TRUMP Breaks Bush Record With Most Votes Ever for Republican Primary Candidate

BREAKING POLL: TRUMP TAKES LEAD and HIllary Clinton’s Negatives Surpass Trump Look: American politics, particularly at the presidential level, is a rough game; and fans, as well as politicians, simply need to wear cups. Any Cruzie who feels they simply haveta gotta either actively vote for Cankles, or else simply stay home and sulk, absolutely has my full and absolute blessings to do precisely that, if their nerves simply cannot bear up under the typical every-four-years jeering and catcalling any better than that. If you, personally, feel it worth your time and effort to watch 'em tantrum, between now and then... mazel tov. More power to you, sincerely. Better you than me. Etc., etc.

MY POV, contrariwise, remains that the majority of Cruzies out there aren't gibbering, self-destructive maniacs; and that, if they genuinely ARE as adamantly super-ultra-conservative as they claim to be, will crawl over broken glass and used hypodermic needles in order to keep Baba Yaga Clinton out of the White House. Period, full stop, end of.

Sounds to me as if I'm actually giving them more credit, ultimately, than you are, doesn't it...?

Something to think about, I daresay.

I have no argument with any of this, whatsoever -- not one jot or tittle! ;)

Never held a private sector job, graduated from Harvard, constitutional scholar, lawyer, junior senator, foreign born, hides his real name, hid his nationality during his senate run, repeatedly failed to vote as senator, and immediately began seeking the office of president once elected. He is also the anointed one.
