Admittedly this is not a scientific survey, but from dozens of news stories, city parks and playgrounds are frequently sites of violence by criminals using illegally-possessed firearms. Non-fatal beatings, robberies, and rapes in parks and playgrounds probably do not make national news. Endemic drug sales and use, prostitution, etc. do not even make local news. The best way to expand opportunities for crime and victimization, especially of minority children and bystanders, is to add more public gathering places. Michelle should ask urban police officers about her big idea.
Personally I am getting the feeling that one of the reasons they are doing that is not just to keep them on the government dole but replace them with Hispanics who have a much higher birth rate.
