As I said, predicting a VP choice is nearly impossible until the last minute because the situation is fluid. A candidate might need some help in a key state, based on current polling. Or the opponent might open up a new line of attack that needs a defense. A lot can change in a few weeks.
But as of today, and according to the Master Persuader filter, I put the odds at 90% than Trump picks Brown as his running mate.

I used to teach government for about 10 years and I’m going to say things that will make you “compound” people upset. 1st of all you have to get elected to bring about change. 2nd you have to compromise with the legislative branch to get a bill passed. If you have to balamce the ticket like Reagan did with Bush, do it! We all agree that this country is in the worst mess of its existence. The election of Hillary would almost certainly doom us. We do not have a majority at present. We must convince independents and Reagan democratsw that we want to rebuild the country. Picking a perceived “radical” VP would not help Trump to win.
I am going to go way outside the box here with a possibility that nobody has suggested, but would be close to the ultimate poke in the nose to Ted Cruz - Rick Perry.

I am not sure what a “compound person” is. Perhaps your response was meant for someone else. I understand “ticket balancing.” I also know that in the case of Reagan, taking GHWB was putting an enemy on the payroll. Collectively, the Booshes have worked to undo pretty much everything that Reagan did. So, “ticket balancing” does have some practical limitations if you, as president, really have it in mind to change the direction of the country., But you are right, you don’t get to play at all unless you do manage to get elected, so the VP choice has several competing elements to be considered. I also know that the Booshes are the true genesis of our nation’s current problems. W ran up the debt, and got us into a couple of wars that he didn’t seem to want to win. So he set the country up for Obama. The Booshes are $hit! Sorry for the divergence.
You fail to address Cruz because you already know exactly who he is and where he originated and acknowledge his benefactors. Globalism and the North American Union are on your side with the Cruz family. We know you probably will eventually win through mass immigration and the imported caliphate.
But Donald Trump will slow you down a decade if we’re lucky enough to keep him. Patriotism, nationalism and American sovereignty are on our side and the side of Free Republic.
