I have listened to Mark for several years now, and I have to agree.

Dozens, more likely hundreds of times Mark has said 'we need a new Republican Party.'

That is the extent of his solution to the problems the current party has. He never explains what he expects that new party to be, other than something conservative.

It has become a ruse. A good soundbite. No substance. Usually followed by oratory pining for the Reagan years.

He was also one of those advocating that the Republicans needed to take the House. They did and they have done near zero with it.

When the first real Republican outsider comes along, overruns the governors who decided to run for the presidency, and ends up being the last man standing, those like Levin are in meltdown.

The history of the Republican Party since Goldwater shows it is not going to change from within by insiders.

How can you expect to have any audience when your entire show is dumping on a guy who has recieved more votes than anyone in the history of the republican party?

He goes on about following the constitution and bashes Trump for wanting Tarriffs. Tarriffs are the only tax metioned in the Constitution. He then asks what adminstration was successful using tarriffs, but doesnt mention the fact tarriffs were the only tax used prior to the implementation of personal income taxes in the early 1900s.

The guy is just intellectually misleading and dishonest. NeverTrumpers must eat this crap up.

Will the Trump trashing continue on for 3 hours? That is the question

I asked that question a month ago. Three hours is nothing. I used to Like Levin and listen to him every day on my commute but I can't really stand to listen to him much any more. It's like CNN with that Malaysian airliner- on and on and on. . I guess I owe him for lowering my blood pressure by helping me to rediscover the FM dial and music.

Was on the road later than usual,
heading home and listening to the Blue Jay game
but had enough of that after 3 innings :~(
and decided to check out Levin.

It was the top of the 3rd hour and he started by reading an article by some Tea Party chick
about the similarities and differences between Trump and Tea Partyers.
All well and good, interesting and fair analysis.

Now Mark, before going to break, stated that after the break he want to present someways
in which Trump could bring himself into closer alignment with the Tea Party....

...and added the assertion that members of the Trump cult would not want to hear it what he had to say.

Mark, what I don’t want to hear or be the subject of,
is disgusting insults and disparaging comments by you...

...and I turned the radio off.

Levin needs to stop complaining so much about Trump and start supporting him. I understand that it takes time accept a loss, but he's had plenty of time do that. After Trump released his potential supreme court picks there is no reason for Levin to continue attacking him. His man loss and he needs to accept that.

He told us we needed to get behind a candidate early, and that's exactly what we did. Now he's a part of the problem he was telling us we had to avoid this time around. He really meant we needed to rally behind his choice or he would attack us, and lose a significant portion of his listeners. I think he will get behind Trump eventually, but he's not helping anyone by continuing his attacks at this point.

I was a long time listener that quit listening when he started attacking Trump and his supporters, but I did listen a little after Trump released his SC picks. He was still taking unnecessary shots at Trump, but it did seem like he was getting a little better. I can't listen today, but I'll give him another week to see if his tone changes, and if it doesn't I'm gone again for good.

He obviously lost a significant amount of his audience recently. You can't attack a candidate and their supporters the way Levin did when they make up a significant percentage of your audience. Limbaugh understands that which is why he's so boring lately. You can still see Limbaugh's bias, but he's very aware of who his audience is.

Levin could have endorsed Cruz and acted more civil and gotten a lot of listeners to come back eventually. That also might have made some people continue to listen and eventually be persuaded into supporting Cruz, but instead he went into attack mode and started calling his audience names and forced them away. He accomplished nothing in the process other than destroying his ratings. The candidate running on the most conservative stances when it comes to our biggest issues we face won. Issues that every other candidate has ignored. Nothing Levin or anyone else says changes that fact.
