> Also, don’t go down this path of telling me what my opinions should be based on what the rest of the world thinks; this is a dangerous path.

Yet you would have others base their opinion on what the Law Library of Congress puts in a report.

Fact is, the deposed President was not removed according to the Honduran Constitution and you acknowledge that yourself (”except for...”). The additional fact that he was sent to a U.S. military base clearly indicates that the coup was of U.S. origin.

From the report you linked: “removal of President Zelaya from the country by the military is in direct violation of the Article 102 of the Constitution”

Even if you accept the Law Library of Congress as the authority here (and I don’t see why one would, it’s a rather arbitrary choice of authority), then you cannot simultaneously claim it was done in accordance with the Honduran Constitution.

The Dems are used to controlling the narrative and keeping the Repubs on the defensive. We’ll see how this election goes after Trump is accused of causing cancer.

“Maybe Clinton thinks she can lie low, hide”

Well, that’s what she’s been doing so far. Avoiding the media and appearing once a week in small venues. It really is her best strategy: as sick as she is, she doesn’t have the energy to do more than that, and Hillary is an extremely unlikable and obviously phony personality with no empathetic ability to connect with crowds who come to hear her, as she has all the warmth of an ice cube as she harshly delivers her trite and cliched speeches.

Trump never got a majority of voters until New York which is not surprising...He is a New Yorker!

Then he went on to get a majority in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island and Indiana.

Sounds like your "only in New York" theory is all wet.

And oh yes, the US side of the action - Clinton’s doing - was a violation of the Foreign Assistance Act, so it wasn’t lawful on this end, either.

You cannot really argue or disregard how he has now established the all-time record for primary votes.
And, looking at the internals of many polls, I believe surveys are skewed to generate negative talking points.
I may be somewhat biased, but I just feel his genuine appeal has been grossly underestimated. Personally, he compelled this lifelong democrat, age 56 (May 29) to change my party affiliation in March so that I could vote for him last month.
Not even Reagan (who I voted for in both generals) had any where near that kind of impact on me. Finally, I subscribe to a theory that there are countless undetected Trump voters not evident in polls. Let’s just watch as they are emerge in droves to the polls this Fall!!!

I would read what the Honduran Supreme Court has to say, but I can't read Spanish. This leaves me having to rely on other people's analysis. However, I am not going to take the word of random people on complex legal questions. The Law Library of Congress does have the competency to analyze the question and has no discernible bias in addressing the issue. The Obama administration did have a bias that eventually got revealed.

then you cannot simultaneously claim it was done in accordance with the Honduran Constitution.

My claim is that the removal was in accord with the constitution of Honduras, with a single exception, what to do with an ousted and semi-popular president that was attempting to set himself up as a dictator.

Your claim is that it was a military coup d'etat backed by Hillary Clinton and that he was flown to a US military base. I can find utterly no evidence to back a single aspect of that assertion.

Not going to argue further with you, you’re obviously arguing from vested interest.

The little word “until” in front of New York I used in my post should have given you a clue...

Comic how the headline says one thing about the Dems being at a loss then the body indicates trump has the problems.

They are at a loss because they won't have the built-in protections our former, metro-sexual candidates, have offered by immediately putting their tails between their legs and apologizing when the Dem candidate (or anyone else in the world) claimed to have been offended.

He reminds me a bit of me - years ago, when the AF was just getting heavy into the PC social experiment, we were getting briefed on the 'rules". I asked why it was that the normal and well adjusted folks had to walk on eggshells for the emotional cripples....my boss at the time, a female Major who also happened to be a closet lesbian, started to protest my statement and realized she might give herself away. It was better times when the abnormals had to bite their tongues in deference to the normals, and Trump is reminiscent of those times...

Trump is “wildly unpopular”, yet will have amassed more votes in the Republican primary than any candidate in history. The term “wildly unpopular” does not compute with reality.

Polls of “ likely voters” do not include millions of newly registered or first time voters

Not going to disagree on the points in your post...

People are pissed...they are sending a message with their ballots....

That that being said, I stand by my point that Trump is not the most popular person in America...

When his negatives drop below 50 % ...that case can be made...

Being a lifelong democrat, you didn't vote for our muslim in chief in 2008 or 2012? ...Did you ?

And they don’t know how to run against the down ballot Republicans smart enough to get on the Trump train.

Trump’s first big problem is obvious: He’s wildly unpopular. Specifically, he’s unpopular with two critical voter groups, women and Hispanics.

the WP and the rest of the LSM still think that people go to them for how to think. It's not the case so much anymore. But they keep operating as tho it were. It's all they've got. None of them has a clue how to be a true free press.

I did vote for Obama in 2008 based largely on his advocacy of Obamacare and his heartbreaking stories about how his mother had to deal with insurance forms while dying from ovarian cancer. Full disclosure: I actually have benefited from this new law and now have had Medicaid for the last 3 years; I never had any health insurance prior to becoming eligible for this.
Strangely enough, Romney/Mittens had been my first choice in both 2008 and 2012. He never inspired me to change parties so I could support him in the primaries either time. Moreover, when the General Election rolled around in 2012, I had just lost my mother in early October at age 88 (she suffered from dementia and had just broken a leg leading to complications). This personal experience basically was all-consuming. Moreover, while I did watch all 4 debates, I was dismayed by Mittens’ lackluster campaign especially after the first debate in which he dominated. At any rate and given all the treachery perpetrated by Romney against Mr. Trump in this cycle, I am so glad that I never wasted a vote on this traitor. I am further outraged over how Mittens’ running mate and current Speaker of the House Ryan is making Mr. Trump grovel for an endorsement which ought to be automatic!!!
As a now former democrat, I could never vote for Crooked Hillary or Bernie—but the prospect of Biden swooping in at the last moment worries me because he gives the appearance of a somewhat more reasonable candidate. He would be a natural favorite in battleground states like Pennsylvania!!
At this juncture, I cannot wait for the Cleveland Convention to be a celebration of Mr. Trump—and to watch Bernie go ballistic on Hillary in Philadelphia!! I just hope she emerges in an extremely compromised state; I fear Biden might ruin everything!!!!
