This helps Trump, because the vast majority of parents don’t want boys using the same bathrooms as their daughters. The Liberal Messiah and the Wicked Witch have thrown in their lot with the radical LGBT activists. The Donald must make them pay for that poor decision.

Issue solved.

They don't want the issue solved. A Federal court already ruled that it was illegal for a school to expect a girl who claims she is a boy to use a "universal," one-at-a-time restroom. She had to be allowed to use the group facility for boys.

Note that public schools generally cannot be sued over what happens to students, so if a girl claiming to be a boy is raped by a man or boy, she's up the creek, legally.

Actually, it can’t be ignored. The President can’t legislate, but he can extort the states/schools. If they refuse to follow the mandate, federal funds are withheld.

It seems this whole methodology should be illegal, it is a way to get around the 10th amendment (not that the Feds realize there is a 10th amendment anyway)

Very workable maneuver to gum up the tyranny - but the problem is that there are too many "educators" (cough...cough..) who will jump at the chance to obey a directive from the Dear Leader himself. What resistance there is will be spotty - am wondering if this is something that a state attorney general could weigh in on, hit back on behalf of all districts in a state jurisdiction.

If they refuse to follow the mandate, federal funds are withheld.

The schools should let this happen, and then fund their own schools using local monies. People are fools to accept federal money since it always comes with the chains.

I’m curious how Trump handles this.

Down play it until he gets into office. Don't give the media the wanted attention. This will piss off conservatives but will keep him in the clear until he's actually able to do something about it.

Transgender is not the way God made it.

Genesis 2

18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
19 So out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.
21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh;
22 and the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.
25 And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed.

Agree, but you will find very few local school boards that will allow this to happen. Ideally, we could change the system so that the Feds can’t extort us with our own money, but I doubt the ideal is achievable at this point.

We’re not supposed to criticize what they do in private, then they demand accommodation of it in public.

Obama forcing public schools
to accommodate transgender
access to restroom of choice
will be extended to locker rooms
and showers......

Way to go, giving
The Poor a reason to vote Trump.
Teachers a reason to vote Trump.
Minorities a reason to vote Trump.

All who would be disproportionately
affected.

This is going to be the best campaign
gift the opposition could have given
to the opposing candidate.....

This is what happens when the administrative state is so big and bloated beyond law that it can essentially make law by altering its interpretation of existing rules or make regulations that essentially go around the intent of rules.
Charles Murray wrote about this problem two or three years ago in “By the People”, how federal administration is essentially trumping Congress or bypassing it altogether.
