Donald Trump masqueraded as a spokesman to brag about himself
www.washingtonpost.com ^ | 5/13/16 | Marc Fisher

Posted on 05/13/2016 6:08:23 AM PDT by CaptainK

The voice is instantly familiar; the tone, confident, even cocky; the cadence, distinctly Trumpian. The man on the phone vigorously defending Donald Trump says he’s a media spokesman named John Miller, but then he says, “I’m sort of new here,” and “I’m somebody that he knows and I think somebody that he trusts and likes” and even “I’m going to do this a little, part-time, and then, yeah, go on with my life.”

A recording obtained by The Washington Post captures what New York reporters and editors who covered Trump’s early career experienced in the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s: calls from Trump’s Manhattan office that resulted in conversations with “John Miller” or “John Barron” — public-relations men who sound precisely like Trump himself — who indeed are Trump, masquerading as an unusually helpful and boastful advocate for himself, according to the journalists and several of Trump’s top aides.

One has to be somewhat suspicious as to the complete lameness of the attacks on Trump to date.

Are they holding stuff in reserve?

I wouldn’t think so, but no way to know.

I wish I could write Trump ads. I could obliterate HRC. I’d work cheap, too.

My guess is Trump has been the most vetted candidate ever vetted during the primary. Hence he’s going into the Presidential election with very little baggage other than his “tone” which doesn’t seem to be a problem.

The assault though from the progressive compliant media will be of historic proportions.

Write some ads.
Send them in.
I’ll give you the proper address.
If his campaign likes your ads, you will be paid.

Trump: “Wow, if this is the best the Washington Post can come up with, I don’t think I have much to worry about.

See, this is as good their reporting has been on 0bama and Hillary Clinton. With those two, there was loads of good stuff to dig up and they completely failed at finding any of it. What a pathetic newspaper. Maybe they should call up Carlos Slim and Vicente Fox and those two might pay a good price for it”.

Oh gee. There is a voice on the phone with a Queens NY accent. Must be Trump. Put out an extra!
-Washingtn Post

I listened to the voice. Bezos has to do better than that to convince anyone who isn't already anti-Trump. Those anti-Trump fools will believe anything. Guess Bezos has to be working with Kristol and Will

This is trending on Twitter. Supposedly he admitted that one of his “spokesmen” was him or a joke gone awry in the early 90s. If it is him, he would have been better to just admit it than deny it. If he did it, people would range from not caring to thinking it’s a hilarious troll job. I would think it’s funny.

If they also look like Trump, that will pose a problem for his enemies.

Quote from the article. For the record, I hate the Washington Post. I have never seen a more biased mainstream newspaper when it comes to Trump. Anyway, a quote from the article:

Of course, when Trump gets to talking, Trump gets to lying. The “John Miller” thing itself was a lie, as Trump later conceded. People magazine wrote, “The John Miller fiasco he called a joke gone awry.” He also conceded in court testimony, “I believe on occasion I used that name,” reported Fisher and Hobson.

Michael Smerconish wants to interview Miller and Benson, the two names Trump used.

Whoops! I think the second name is Barron, not Benson.

So Trump didn't actually say that today but from a quote in the same article making a hit on him pulled from another quote in people magazine. Lol. I think your agenda is showing coming in here about trends and supposedly. Gimme a break. Try again.

That’s a great term for them. They want America to die so they can nibble on, defecate in, and reproduce in the carcas. Describes Democrats to a “T”.

Obviously, it's him. The phrasing and vocabulary is 100% DJT. There's no point in denying it, so, yeah, why not just own it? People hate journalists, especially tabloid types. He should just say, 'These tabloid types writing about my personal life were the scum of the earth. I was playing games with them, and they deserved it!'

And, after 7 years of obama trumpeting himself while not even masquerading as a spokesman, we’re somehow supposed to disapprove of Trump. At least in Trump’s case, much of what he says about his accomplishments is true. And he doesn’t have to force any flunkies to write lies and post them on teleprompters, proving that the current occupant of the White House can’t even identify any of his so-called accomplishments without the help of paid liars.

America will not be shocked to learn that Trump has always been his own biggest booster. A lot of people like that aspect of his personality. .
