The decision by Judge Gilbert Martinez puts the case against Robert Dear, 57, on hold until his mental competency can be restored through treatment. He will be sent to the state psychiatric hospital, and his mental health will be reviewed in August.

As he was led out of the courtroom, Dear yelled at the judge: "That's called prejudiced, filthy animal!"

The case will resume when Dear is found to be mentally capable of understanding the court proceedings and able to assist in his defense. He is charged with 179 counts, including murder and attempted murder, stemming from the Nov. 27 shooting at the Colorado Springs clinic that also left nine injured

No one in their right mind commits heinous crimes. Laws are supposed to protect us from crazy idjits, not protect the criminal from the law.

“That’s called prejudiced, filthy animal!”

This phrase comes up in daily conversation for most people I think.

According to DU all Christians and gun owners are “mentally incompetent”. But they should still be tried and put in prison. Unless they’re Islamic or a certain other minority in which case they should be forgiven because society (white men) drove them to it.

I’d suggest trying electroshock therapy. If that doesn’t work, removing fingernails and teeth might help bring him into touch with reality.

I was on a jury that found a man who had committed murder mentally competent to stand trial. Took us all of 5 minutes.

A week later the judgie wudgie overruled our decision.

Grr!

Cabin-dwelling recluse ‘Planned Parenthood gunman' was once a happily married father and art dealer – but became a pot-smoking oddball who sought sadomasochistic sex online after divorce

Looks like he was headed for a local government administration job. A little further without major trouble, and the pothead would have been another “Rocky Mountain high” regulator against private property rights.

Of course, to the pro-abortion media, he’s a totally typical “anti-abortion” activist.

Someone can both be incompetent, and evil at the same time.

Execute him.

His mental state does not matter. He must be permanently removed from society for the safety of that society.

They effectively outlawed camping for private property owners on their own lots (requirements too onerous and expensive). Many of the lots are more than 35 acres without another person in sight (very small population in that huge county).

It’s part of what the marijuana rush brought.

[And many other pages at the sight on that issue. Pot facilities going up all over the place.]
