For a reminder of the power of Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer, Google the Texas City, Texas explosion.

That’s what I think....idiots with grudges are all over the place. We basically have a mass murderer and I hope they’re caught and get the needle.......sooner rather than later. Thanks go to the arson investigators on this. This makes it even sadder knowing it was intentional......;(

And she-male Paul Ryan will be feverishly pleasuring himself at the thought of helping Obama import as many nasty muslim terrorists as possible.

Many of us expected this was intentional all along. Loss of life and the economic impact were substantial.

3+ Years later, thanks for the speedy work DOJ, FBI and the ATF.

At this rate we would have know in 1945 who bombed Pearl Harbor.

You can run but you can’t hide. The person responsible better hope it’s the feds who find him and not a fellow Texan.

Read that Obama hopes to import as many as 100,000 ‘immigrants (colonists, Jihadists) before he’s outed from the WH.

Soon, car bombs, rapes, mass stabbing attacks will be a daily occurrence in America...another Europe.

I seem to recall that within a few days after the explosion there was a theory being floated that a volunteer fireman set the fire. His plan was to rush in and help save the place by putting out the fire and become a local hero.

Unfortunately, the fire led to the explosion before he could get to it and he (and I think another vol.) was killed.

West is just a small Czech farming community...

Famous for the wonderful kolaches made in the small bakeries!

Wife and I went to Galveston for mini-vacations a couple of times a year. It was mandatory to stop in West for coffee and kolaches mid-morning on each trip!

A few years ago, I saw a 1-hour program about the Texas City disaster. I think it was on our local PBS TV here in the DFW area. They had a lot of old film covering before, during and after the explosions. The program gave a lot of detail in chronological order. The images of afterward were surreal.

As a result of that explosion, du Ponte began experimenting with ammonium nitrate as a blasting agent.

The results of the experiments were that AN need the addition of Carbon to fully detonate and it needed a strong shock to start the reaction.

The best combination was 6% by weight of diesel fuel and 40% Dynamite (minimum at 10,000 lf/second)

ANFO became a very inexpensive powder for rock blasting.

It was first used in the Anthracite Coal Fields in Eastern PA by George M. Brewster & Son who did contract stripping for the Lackawanna Coal Co.

Brewster was a very large road contractor from NJ, who also was a very large stockholder in Delaware Lackawanna & Western Rail Road that owned the coal company.

Obama & Company of course, did nothing but, cover it up, IMHO!!!

Give them a break!

It's taken almost 4 years for this conclusion to be made.

West is just north of Waco, my home. I was horrified and so sad at the loss of good people...and the destruction.

The response by so many wonderful individuals, towns and Fire Depts was the light in the storm.

(My daughter in law brings treats from a Czech bakery in West when she comes.)

I agree it was unlikely to be terrorism.
