You reference multiple drugs in people’s systems, and that is why I specifically stated people with ONLY pot in their system have less accidents than people with ONLY alcohol in their systems.

PS: I do not want pot legalization. I believe it demeans us as a culture and sends the wrong message to children.

I never said they would not drive. Depending on their need, but WHERE they drive would change. Side streets as opposed to main roads, etc. I agree slow drivers CAUSE more accidents IMO.

I think common sense prevails. Overwhelmingly, the elephant in the room is that there are also two kinds of people on this issue, and subsets. The first group has smoked pot, and know that for most people, its not a gateway drug. But there is a subset that it is true for, but they are the same subset that abuse everything in their life. The other group, has never smoked pot, and have for their entire life, believed the MSM and “Experts”, that terrify people never to smoke.

IMO, the latter are the cheerleaders for the policing of pot, there has never to my knowledge, but probably someplace been a violent physical altercation while smoking pot. It has been over selling and distribution, and the gangs selling it, and import/export where people spent significant jail time. But people spending years in jail for smoking pot, is crazy. All your doing is making good people convicts over a joint. I am not talking about distributors, although now in Colorado, this is legal. I am talking about violent offenders. How many people could be let out of jail today for smoking pot. How much money would that save our country, at every district level.

I am not talking about legalizing hard drugs, just decriminalizing pot, and treating offenses like you would alcohol.

As for voting, I think in any issue, depending on its importance in you life, and pot by the way, is not the obsession you might think, you will vote in your best interest. By making this an issue, politicians will use it to sway voters. Legalize it and a lot of things happen, first you take away its power. Distribution becomes legal, taxes get paid to the state, cost is based on competition, so the state can’t rape you on price or you will simply get it someplace else, you can grow your own legally. And you don’t have to worry about the police, so safety becomes an issue.
