Donald Trump has tapped Chris Christie to lead his transition team, which would prepare the political neophyte turned presumptive GOP nominee for the White House if he wins in the general election.

“Governor Christie is an extremely knowledgeable and loyal person with the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled Transition Team, one that will be prepared to take over the White House when we win in November,” Trump said in a quote released Monday morning as part of a campaign statement.

Nothing wrong with planning ahead.

And a good choice too. I’m hoping Christie is on the short list of possibilities for the AG spot.

I’m thinking he will be Chief of Staff.

It’s called “thinking past the sale”. Just like when the car salesman gets you thinking about whether you want blue or red before you’ve actually decided to buy the car. Here they’re getting us to visualize what happens after Trump wins even though the election is months away. Very clever.

(H/T Scott Adams for teaching me this).

He would be good in that position for sure, who do you think might get the nod for AG? Trump has said that Mayor Rudy has the nod for Homeland Security (although I wouldn’t mind seeing him as AG).

FYI- setting up a transition team is required by law. If you want to really see how Trump or Hillary will govern, play close attention to who else is on the team. It will be hard because the media will be covering tweets and attack ads... but the real story will be to watch how this team evolves...

This guy?

Well I guess Ann C believed in him all along through thick and thicker, so he must be a great choice.

Lol! I bet it drives Hillary into hysterics that Trump is planning his transition and (almost) literally measuring the Oval Office curtains...

Good choice to lead the transition team and perhaps take the AG slot in the cabinet.

I’m okay with Christie in a lot of jobs, including AG. I don’t like him for Chief of Staff because it can influence policy. Christie has too many policy issues to give him a generalist position.

I’m thinking that Governor Greg Abbott of Texas would make a great AG, that was his role prior to being elected Governor.

I agree. Also not sure how true this is. I read some where where Chris Christie is a mole for Donald Trump in regards to giving him info on The Insiders (Establishment). They have been friends for so many years so it is not surprising that Donald trust him.
