Pelosi warns: Dems can't ignore Trump anymore

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has a word of warning for her fellow Democrats: "We can’t ignore Donald Trump any longer."

In a fundraising email sent Wednesday from the Democrats' campaign arm, Pelosi said she's "worried" and "disgusted" by the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

She's calling for "serious help from grassroots Democrats to stop him and the Republicans" in November.

Translation: send money.

"He’s a formidable candidate — and a serious threat to our country," Pelosi said on behalf of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). "It’s up to us to make sure Trump doesn’t become our next President."

The message is a reflection of several unusual dynamics surrounding this year's election. First, Trump's combative and unorthodox campaign has been wildly successful in ways that few had predicted a year ago, and Democrats are being careful not to underestimate his popular appeal — particularly since the wealthy businessman has done well in attracting Independents and some blue-collar Democrats.

“Disgusted” doesn’t even begin to plumb the depths of how I feel about Nancy Pelosi.

In every photo she looks like she’s having a psychotic break. Another pol who would be in a rubber room is she wasn’t in office.

Speaking only for myself, I’ve been too not busy ignoring Nancy Pelosi these last 3+ years.

“Pelosi warns: Dems can’t ignore Trump anymore”

Yeah, it figures that Pelosi is just figuring this stuff out about Trump. Hey, Nancy, you’re a day late and a dollar short again.

They never ignored him.

Pointedly trying to remove him through mockery failed, but they kept it up for over a year. Ignoring him would have been not mentioning him, and they couldn’t do that and mock him at the same time.

"He’s a formidable candidate — and a serious threat to our country beautiful Marxist plans," Pelosi said...

Edited to reflect her giving an honest answer.

Nancy, you have to elect Trump before you know what’s in him.

Pelosi’s “words” could be seen as a call to get rid of Trump. The democrats say if you use words like “take him out” it means assassination. What does “It’s up to us to make sure Trump doesn’t become our next President” really mean?

Pretty much that, yes. I think Trump will be a formidable challenge, but I seriously doubt most of the Dem leadership believes that yet - they expect him to be a pushover. However, coming out and SAYING something like that does not bring in contributions. She would be saying this exact same thing if the GOP nominee was a sway-backed horse, Ronald Reagan himself or a random homeless guy.

Accept it Nancy. You told us once to pass it to find out what was in it. Elect him to find out what is in him is my advice to you.
