All this talk of investing in experimental and upcoming green energy but the leftist greenies don’t want to invest in making coal clean - it can be done with technology that can capture emissions. But they don’t want to invest in that. We have enough coal to power the world for almost forever.

It is like coal is attacked for the ideology rather than the science of it - maybe it reminds the left of the "old world" of the industrialization they hate - I don't know.

The animosity against coal is puzzling. All I can think of is that coal is so cheap and plentiful that it makes the expensive so called "green" alternatives not viable so they attack coal and even attempts to modernize coal into a "cleaner" fuel is attacked.

The folks like Al Gore and the United Nations could care little about Global Warming or pollution. It is about getting all nations equal. China is bringing on-line something like a new coal-fired plant every couple of weeks! China’s safety and operating standards are so poor that they have coal mine fires that are burning out of control (impossible to stop once they get big enough) that these fires put out as much CO2 as all of the U.S. cars and trucks in a year.

Of course most people don’t know that, and I think most of the sheeple really are concerned about the environment. But have the wrong idea that America is the biggest polluter. If they really wanted to save the earth they would let us mine in the U.S. where we have some reasonable standards and maybe limit the number of mines in places where they don’t care what they do.

I'd love to see Trump mention Bill Clinton's closing off of the Grand Escalante Staircase in Utah to coal mining for the benefit of his good friend Indonesian businessman James Riady.

Riady, who subsequently pleaded guilty to illegally funneling campaign funds to Clinton, has made contributions to the Clinton crime family's Clinton Global Initiative.

Kick her when she's down.

Well, we can start counting states for the general election. The first state, West Virginia will go for Donald Trump. No way they are voting for Hillary. 49 more states to go. It will be fun to see how they start falling.

I don't see Trump losing any state Romney won in 2012. Utah, which was the most anti-Trump primary state, isn't going to vote for Hillary. I maintain that Trump will flip Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and New Hampshire. That's enough to win against Clinton 277-261. If he can flip Michigan, which hasn't voted GOP since 1988 but which has been devastated by "free trade", he wins with a comfortable margin.

Trump has far more paths to victory than any other Republican. If he can flip New York or New Jersey (not likely, but not impossible) it'll be a historic landslide.

It all starts with religion. They worship the creature more than the Creator, so error after error follows.

Hydrocarbons are irredeemably evil, and so are damned, regardless of how inadequate the alternatives.

They talk about hydrogen as a fuel, like you can just collect it somehow, ignoring all the realities that make it impractical.

They ignore thorium, because nuclear is anathema.

Hypocrites and elitists.

I listened to Rush off and on during the day Wednesday... all I heard when I had him turned on was nonstop apology about what a cool guy Ted Cruz is...

Coal is a big issue to many counties which rely on it for electricity. Here in Virginia, for example. Electric bill going up. And I suspect it’s Obama coal policies.

Nuclear power will make more sense after the border is more secure.

Right now it would be insane to increase it. Just think: “Jack Baur / 24 / Season Four.”

Then we need to resolve the risks of earthquakes. Look at Japan. Even Virginia experienced some earthquakes a few years ago.

But I am curious about ‘pebble bed reactors’ and ‘The Bloom Box’.

Have there been any updates on those reported breakthroughs?

Even bark can generate power cleanly. At Huber, a wood mill near my home, they burn bark that they strip off their timber.

I cleaned some of the rods that keep soot from escaping into the atmosphere. Of course, decmorats are afraid of microscopic carbon. Funny thing though, carbon blocks sunlight. Just like clouds, a cloud of ash is carbon-based.

I suspect we will see traditionally blue states go to Trump in the general. Possibly even parts of the north east/mid Atlantic region.

I just find it odd the Greenies want to invest billions in making fuel more green except for coal - they want no new investments in making coal greener.
