I believe that you are incorrect. I spent 25 years as a Commissioned Officer in the Army with every clearance known to man, and have been a government contractor for over 20 years and can guarantee that had I done this in either role, I would be in either in Leavenworth or some Federal Pen for the rest of my life. Note, I live in Leavenworth, but on my farm, not inside the wire.
Either you misread my posting, or you are responding to someone else.
The poster to whom I replied said conviction for a crime requires willful intent. I pointed out the law has a clause for "gross negligence".
If you really did have "every clearance known to man", you would know that -- because you signed the same documents that Hillary and I did when our clearances were granted.
(An aside: I can't imagine that anyone in DIS, or whoever does clearance investigations now, willfully approved Hillary's clearance. I know people that were angels compared to her, and couldn't get a high-level clearance)
Like a congressmen, I will take advantage of the opportunity to revise and extend my remarks. You are correct, I believe that this is both. She established her private server to intentional evade the restrictions on email archival requirements. She deliberately transmitted classified information to her private server for convenience that exposed classified information to compromise to those people do that for profit and nefarious purposes. Her actions were clearly willfully and certainly illegal.
