Now that it’s OVER, please let it be.

***

Doing my best.

I’m going to try not to jab Cruz himself, but spitefulness isn’t going to pass unchallenged.

Those who are just saddened, I’m doing my best to be pleasant to.

I’m just saying.

There is a section (mostly Texans I believe) who were very strongly supporting Ted Cruz.

I agree with them that Texas has it’s share of valid criticisms about America’s government, I just don’t think Ted Cruz was the right guy to stand up for. They however did, and I can sort of understand where they were all coming from.

Ted Cruz was not what he sometimes claimed, in my humble opinion. I however wasn’t a native Texan, I lived there as an import from another state. He was not however in my opinion, a representative of American business resurgence. In my opinion he was a puppet of a small group of wealthy donors, and did not represent the American middle which Donald does so very well.

But they believed. Sincerely. Strongly. I would just remind Texans, that Ted Cruz was also an import there. So don’t get too strongly attached to defending him.

And they fought for their guy. All I am saying is that is a very good thing. FR should bring them back.

We can all disagree about things at times, but bring them back.

Oh, I agree with neverHillary.

But I’m sick of even my most pleasant posts getting certain people calling me a cultist and condemning me to Hell from the bitter Cruz supporters.

If you’re this upset over the words ‘bitter and spiteful’ I can’t imagine how you’d deal with some of the stuff that gets thrown at us.

“Let them back on FR.”

Vote No.

That bunch was responsible for making this place a living hell. Things around here calmed down by orders of magnitude when they were shown the door.

I signed up as a monthly donor a few days ago. I’m finally able to do that.

I made up for some of those FReepers who chose an opus.

Oh, I know YOU didn’t. Except for that big boy pants comment, which is a little irritating.

But there have been flame wars today with people coming in out of nowhere to fling bile at me.

So yes, I’m going to describe them as bitter and spiteful, and that fact has not changed!

All who wish to help us in a direct positive way, ie, support and vote for Trump to defend America from the godless Marxist/socialist/lefist/collectivist totalitarians are welcome to join or rejoin us.

Conservative forum or echo chamber? I've been a regular here for over 15 years, and this year has been quite troubling. Hoping the rancor and animosity subsides now that the primary is settled. I miss the old FR where principled disagreements over policy positions, investigative efforts behind such leftist propagandists as the Tides Foundation, and good old fashioned camaraderie were standard fare.

If the maxim of run to the right during the primary and to the left for the general holds true, must we all simply accept with our mouths closed?

That is SOP for career politicians, and Trump is not one of those. There is every indication that he decided to run because he is as frustrated by the corrupt system as the rest of us are, and wanted to do something about it.

I’m not sure passive aggressive means what you think it means, given that I posted the comment/question to the owner of the site.

Amen, Bro.

Well, I’ve got the popcorn ready for the next round, but first I feel like I need a break from all this primary stuff. (Maybe Trump does too - he looks a bit tired. Hillary on the other hand always looks tired.)

But after that, I’m ready to take a ringside seat and watch Trump “float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Hillary can’t hit what her eyes can’t see.”

This should be good.

Indeed. It is time to move on and do our best to make sure Hillary (or the Burn) cannot win. Our country cannot survive much more socialism.

Saw on another thread that Cruz is still seeking delegates in Washington State. Be afraid, be very Afraid.

Trump has to continue with all the primaries to ensure the total won delegates is over 1237 or else the GOP could “pull a fast one” and say he is not the nominee.

That would be a disaster. I know Trump’s team realizes that it’s not over yet until he reaches 1237, but at the WV rally he just said he wishes the primary would continue and that folks were telling him that he didn’t have to come to the rally.

Jim- It's STILL ON.

With Ryan's words today, It's still on.

There are THREE CHOICES

1. Trump (which includes the Republican Party who participated in primaries)

2. MAYBE TRUMP (the position formerly known as TRUMP OR CRUZ and is now the Ryan, Romney, and I guess Cruzers position, and

3. NEVERTRUMP

The PARTY is not sure if it's going to recognize it's WINNER, its NOMINEE. This to me is indistinguishable from the old position of CRUZ.

Sorry to write you directly; but I've been around a long time and as far as I remember, this is unprecedented.

I hate to say it, but it's STILL ON here on FR and anywhere conservatives meet: every assertion by Cruz supporters still stands except it is now the position of the MAYBE TRUMPERS (Which may be a thinly disguised flavor of NEVER TRUMPERS.
