That’s not compromise, it’s capitulation.

Ok. The snippet is in quotation marks, but it is obviously not quoting Trump.

Any way to see what Trump actually said without going to Newsmax? Took me a long time to get them to stop spamming my email.

With so many other states in play, for Trump, i am not sure going “All In” for OH by selecting Kasich is the right play.
Why not take Guliani and got for NY 29 EV instead of Kasich for 18 in OH? There is a lot of math to do, and I’m sure Team Trump will do it.

Kasich would be “Trump’s Biden”

No, Kasich would be much worse. Biden only plays stupid on TV. Biden is actually a very shrewd politician and crook. Best example was when he took Paul Ryan to the woodshed during the 2012 VP debates. Kasich is just a socialist dumbass.

If Kasich is number 2 on the Trump ticket...and if Hillary is forced to drop out ... which is looking more likely to happen...to make way for Biden and Fauxhontas, we will loose. Kasich is a serious empty suit liability.

The VP pick is to unify the party.

Reagan chose Bush who opposed every Reagan principle and program.

Reagan won in a landslide.

JFK chose Johnson who literally hated him.

I would prefer it not be Kasich. But the VP doesn't really do much. And if he acts up he can be shoved aside and made completely irrelevant. Kasich would be fine to attend funerals and ribbon cutting ceremonies.

Well, I guess Ohio is important for us..

Yeah, well, if Trump puts NY into play as we've been told so many times here recently, then Ohio is a lock without that spineless and brainless twit.

Kasich would be a major unforced error on Trump’s part. Unlikably pious and a Leftist. Yuck!

He better get somebody stronger than Kasich. Better not be Fiorina. Cruz would be an interesting choice to unify the party .... Although That ain’t gonna happen.

My complaint is he would not be loyal to the ticket.

I was standing on the WH sidewalk back in April 09 when SlowJoe came riding out in an entourage of black SUVs waving to the crowd.

A guy in a thousand dollar suit turned to me and said “if Joe didn’t have a chauffeur, he’d forget the route home for lunch”

Bush was Reagan’s biggest mistake.

Speaking of big mistakes, Gingrich was on Hannity this afternoon, and after sounding really encouraging talking about the big initiative he was working on to look at what it would really take to transform the various costly and ineffective bureaucracies, etc—he went on a long riff about how Trump should name Jeb as his Secretary of State.

I’ll bet he picks someone MUCH more liberal than even Kasich. Romney, perhaps?

But the VP doesn't really do much.

Except become president in 4 or 8 years. President Kasich....say that a few times and let it sink in. Trump has not pandered to this point and he'd better not start now.

“Biden only plays stupid on TV. Biden is actually a very shrewd politician and crook.”

Biden may very well be a shrewd politician and a crook, but that doesn’t mean he’s smart. When I worked in DC, my friends who worked on Capitol Hill said that Biden regularly won the annual, bipartisan poll among staffers to determine the stupidest Senator.

ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY, YES.

within six months bush sr. was deconstructing reagan’s GOP.

the vp should be all things you’d want from your potential commander in chief, and essentially trump’s ideological progeny...

“Cruz would be an interesting choice to unify the party ...”

Trump has repeatedly said that he wants someone who can help him get things done in Congress. That’s not Cruz.
